Citizens and Millennials Support Government Policy for the Advancement of the Nation

Social media as a medium of communication can form public opinion that fosters a spirit of optimism for future government policies. In essence, social media can create a climate that supports national development so that people can understand, accept, and participate in the country’s development. Therefore, the synergy of citizens is needed to support various government policies for the benefit of the whole society.
However, in addition to having a positive impact, the entry of the digitalization era also has a downside, namely making the spread of hoaxes more and more massive. How could I not, nowadays a lot of fake news thrives and continues to spread without any restrictions. Amazingly, its spread has even entered into various aspects of life.
In addition, the spread of hoaxes is also considered to be able to trigger a radical attitude in society. Coupled with the absence of a literacy culture, it makes it easy for everyone to believe and participate in spreading the uncertain news. Therefore, if there is no vigilance, the public will be easily exposed to hoax mirages and propaganda of provocative issues such as disinformation, such as the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Job Creation Law which can disrupt national stability.
How are our efforts? The easiest thing, is filtering the news and contributing to making massive positive posts on social media. This method was allegedly able to reduce the spread of hoaxes that occurred in Indonesia and was able to encourage Indonesia’s progress.
Talking about hoaxes is a very complicated matter, because the digital revolution like today is actually easier to spread. The community is no longer only content connoisseurs but also able to act as agents of information dissemination. Therefore, it is necessary to have the synergy of citizens, millennials and the wider community to fight hoaxes and provocative information that occur in Indonesia in order to realize national unity in order to succeed national development towards an advanced Indonesia.
In addition to realizing an advanced Indonesia, synergies also need to be done in supporting various government policies and programs. Moreover, Indonesia is currently facing several problems such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the economy. Let us guard the conduciveness in the lines of social media and work together to build the success of the government’s efforts to advance the nation and state.
