XX National Sports Week (PON) is a national sporting event which will be held in Papua. PON is the biggest sporting event in Indonesia because it presents athletes from 34 provinces throughout Indonesia.
Papua Province has been designated as the organizer of the XX / 2020 National Sports Week (PON). This appointment is contained in the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia Number 0110 of 2014, concerning the establishment of the Province of Papua as the Host of the Organizers of PON XX / 2020.
The opening of PON XX is planned to be held on 20 October. The national sports party will be held at the Bangkit Papua Stadium, Jayapura Regency, Papua.
