Armed separatist criminal groups are a group of rebels who continue to terrorize people in Papua. In fact, they do not hesitate to attack TNI members and civilians. One Babinsa member died from his duties because he was shot by KKSB. In 11 years, they have killed 190 people.
Peace in Supaga District, Papua was torn apart by an attack by the KKSB, aka the armed separatist criminal group, 17 September 2020. Ahmad Badawi, an ojek driver, became a victim after he cut his left hand with a sharp weapon. The 49-year-old man immediately collapsed and was rushed to the nearest Puskesmas, but died of blood loss.
Within a day armed separatist criminal groups also terrorized another place, namely in Intan Jaya Regency. The gunshot victim was a Babinsa member named Serka Sahlan. The incident that occurred at 14:20 WITA made him immediately rushed to the Bilogai Health Center. Unfortunately the TNI member immediately lost his life.
Colonel Ign Suriastama, Head of Defense III Joint Command, stated that the incident was considered reckless because KKSB attacked TNI members. Whereas Babinsa Ramil Hitadipa Preparation is carrying out a noble task to bring logistics.
Colonel Ign Suriastama continued, after the attack, vicious slander appeared on social media. KKSB Intan Jaya accused the murdered ojeg driver was an undercover officer. He also regretted why KKSB had so much heart to lose the lives of civilians. Even though they are both indigenous Papuans.
The KKSB became increasingly unsettled because it frightened Papuans and was desperate to attack the TNI, even though they certainly had more complete weapons. This group is affiliated with the Free Papua Organization, so they consider the army to be an embodiment of the Republic of Indonesia, so they are considered a big enemy.
If you look at the records, since 2009 they have carried out 417 attacks and resulted in 190 deaths. This is only data in the Mimika area, not to mention in other areas . The emergence of KKSB is increasingly unsettling because they do not hesitate to kill the community, even though they both have the status of indigenous people from the Earth of Cendrawasih.
KKSB’s brutalism is very frustrating because they don’t care about shooting at the security forces or civilians. M hey want Papuan independence from Indonesia and continue to support the OPM. It even considers that the central government is ‘colonizing’ the Earth of Paradise. Therefore, KKSB terrorized the residents to want to defect and realize an independent Papua.
It was not the first time that the shooting of the officers against the officers. Last February, there was also an attack in the Nduga area which resulted in Brigadier Junaidi being shot. After a few hours earlier, KKSB members stormed the area near the airport and resulted in 2 casualties from civil society.
Therefore, armed separatist criminal groups continue to be sought for their existence because they always worry about peace in the Papua region, in order to realize the glory of the OPM. They are very cunning and carry out guerrilla attacks, and hide in the middle of the forest or in the foot of a hill that is still virgin. So it’s a bit troublesome to search.
The indigenous people in Bumi Cendrawasih also support if the KKSB members are arrested by the authorities, because so far they have continued to carry out disturbing acts of terror. Even before carrying out the shooting, they were also proven to have robbed the residents of money and valuable onions. KKSB is a scourge for the community because it acts on its own.
KKSB atrocities continue to be condemned not only by the families of the victims , but also indigenous Papuans. Because they continue to echo their desire for Papua to be independent, even though so far d Bumi Cendrawasih remains firmly part of the Republic of Indonesia. KKSB also failed to get public sympathy because it used violence to make its wishes come true.
