Many patients have recovered from Corona in Riau and other areas in Indonesia. This is very encouraging news because it is hoped that we can get out of the Covid-19 pandemic as soon as possible.
We have been tired and stressed in dealing with this pandemic for more than a year. In addition to continuing to maintain health protocols, we also pray that we don’t get Corona. While those who are already sick, of course, want to get well soon and be disciplined to take medicine, and stay calm in the self-isolation phase.
But in this gloomy time of the pandemic, there is good news that is enlightening. The number of recovered Corona patients has increased in Riau, which is 1,667 people per day. This number has increased 2 times than at the beginning of the pandemic. Meanwhile, for the total number of patients who have recovered, there are 102,946 people.
Meanwhile, there are 39,726 Corona-free patients in Indonesia per day, bringing the total to 2,947,646 people. This number is far more than the sick patients, who reach 30,000 people per day.
This news is certainly very encouraging because more patients survived than lost their lives. Those who died from Corona accounted for less than 10% of the total number of patients. So that we don’t have to be too stressed with this virus, because in reality more people are recovering than prolonged illness.
When many patients are cured then this is the sweet fruit of various government programs. First, since the beginning of the pandemic, the government has committed to free the cost of treating Corona patients in hospitals, provided that they have a BPJS card. If these facilities are not available, the poor will certainly languish, because the total cost can reach hundreds of millions of rupiah.
In addition, Corona patients who are self-isolating also get free drug and vitamin facilities from the government. They only need to register online and then the medicine package will be sent to their respective homes. So that the less fortunate will be relieved because the medicine is free of charge, and he can increase his immunity and be free of Corona more quickly.

Not only drug packages, the government also provides free consultation fees to doctors via online. Patients who are self-isolating only need a quota for consultations on the application, and they will get advice from doctors. We are very grateful for this waiver, because usually we have to pay up to hundreds of thousands of rupiah.
When the number of Corona patients increases, the public must not be careless. They are still required to obey the rules during PPKM, especially in controlling mobility. Do not travel except for essential things, and for shopping can be via online only. Don’t think about being bored while staying at home because it’s better to be patient at home, than desperate to wander around and then get Corona.
All this is done so that the number of Corona patients does not increase again. Spokesman for the Riau Covid Task Force, Doctor Indra Yovi, stated that to reduce the increase in the spread of Corona, the key is to return to the community. Must continue to be vigilant and disciplined in implementing health protocols and obeying PPKM rules.
Don’t forget to wear a mask and it can’t be replaced with just a face shield. Always remember to wash your hands or carry hand sanitizer in your bag. In addition, obey the other rules in the 10M health protocol to be safe from this dangerous virus.
When the patient recovery rate increases, it is a good thing because it shows the seriousness of the government in overcoming the pandemic. However, the public must remain disciplined in implementing health protocols, because they do not become the next patient.
