The spread of corona is getting more violent . There’s even been a surge in patients these days. This has made many people sad because they are tired of the pandemic and hope that it will end soon. They should also be aware that they should be more disciplined in carrying out health protocols, so that there is no more transmission of corona .
September 20, 2020, became a record because there were 3,989 positive cases of corona in Indonesia. In total there are 244,676 patients who have contracted the Covid-19 virus in this country . The skyrocketing number of patients from around 2,000 to nearly 4,000 per day makes us even more vigilant. Moreover, more and more people without symptoms are in the neighborhood.
In fact, what caused the drastic increase in the number of patients? First a, because there is an increase in the frequency of rapid tests in many places. More and more tests will certainly catch a lot of people who turn out positive for corona . They can be saved immediately and receive maximum care.
A second cause of the increase in the number of co- stained patients is the drastic decline in adherence to health protocols. At the start of a pandemic, we always wear masks and face shields and lock ourselves at home. However, during the adaptation phase of a new habit, he began to be careless by removing his mask and breaking the rules of keeping distance.
Many physical distancing rules were violated after Eid al-Adha a while ago, because it was considered a good month to get married. Many people ignore health protocols and invite hundreds of guests, even though there should be 30 people who are allowed to attend the marriage contract. It’s a shame because the rules are ignored just because of prestige.
When the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan implemented PSBB phase 2, on 14 September, some residents immediately returned to their hometowns. According to them , it was better to go straight away than to be restricted in movement. Even though this is also dangerous because it could be that they are OTGs who actually transmit the corona to their families in the village.
If more and more people are disorderly, when will the pandemic be over? We certainly want to live a normal life like before, but unfortunately it’s still lazy to apply discipline. When dterapkan fines for not wearing a mask, and government officials were blamed. Even though this rule is for our own safety.
There are ways that you can try to ensure that people comply with health protocols in an orderly manner. First, by increasing the distribution of free masks. For children, they can be given masks with pictures of their preferred cartoon characters. According to Doctor Raisa, the effectiveness of using masks occurs when at least 70% of people wear them in one environment. So masks are very important.
Second, if someone becomes a person without symptoms or has already contracted the corona and has to isolate independently, don’t shun it. RT and RW can work together to provide assistance in the form of groceries and food packages, so that they don’t have to leave the house to buy them. Plastic food packages can simply be placed on the fence of the house. This can prevent physical contact outside the dwelling.
The corona vaccine is also still in the experimental stage, and at this time we can only strengthen the body’s immunity. In 1 village can collaborate. For example, when someone has a vegetable garden, they share some of the produce with neighbors who need it. Not everyone can afford to buy nutritious food, because many employees are having reduced salaries due to the effects of the pandemic.
Never forget to adhere to health protocols such as wearing masks, washing hands, carrying hand sanitizers , and avoiding crowds. We have to be more vigilant because according to WHO research, the covid-19 virus can be transmitted through dirty and stuffy air. Never put the mask down outside the house and wash your hair immediately when you get home.
