The G20 Summit (KTT) brings many benefits to Indonesia, especially in the economic field. There will be an economic transformation that can heal the impact of the pandemic. In addition, there will be various mutually beneficial cooperations, so that good relations are established between G20 members.
Indonesia received a great honor when appointed to the presidency of the G20 and automatically became the host. The G20 Summit will be held in Nusa Dua, Bali. Even though it was held during a pandemic, this event will still be held. Precisely with this event, we will overcome the various impacts of the pandemic together, according to the theme: recover together, recover stronger.
The G20 Summit will be a catalyst for economic transformation, not only in Indonesia but also globally. The reason was because there were many delegates from other countries who came and saw firsthand the conducive situation in Indonesia, coupled with the Omnibus Law with investment clusters, so there would be a lot of investment cooperation. In this way, both parties will benefit equally.
The Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Penny Williams, expressed her support for Indonesian programs that will be presented at the G20 Summit. These include the introduction of new renewable energy, digital economic transformation, etc. Australia is ready to support because the friendly relations between the two countries are so close.
The G20 Summit became a catalyst for economic transformation because it introduced new renewable energy sources, namely solar, wind (wind), biofuels, electricity, etc. That way, they will not depend on coal made from fossils, because the stock is also limited. In addition to being more environmentally friendly, new and renewable energy is also more economically valuable, moreover to get it, you don’t have to dig like when looking for coal.
Renewable energy can be a new source of the economy, because it has great potential. If there are no places or natural resources in the G20 participating countries, it can be done in Indonesia with a system of cooperation or investment. That way it is both profitable and at the same time environmentally friendly.
Economic transformation also occurred at the G20 Summit because everything was regulated in a cashless manner, so it was safe from transmission of viruses and bacteria through paper money. This is the economy in the digital era, where to pay enough with an electronic wallet and a gadget capital. The advantage is that the seller does not have to look for change, while the buyer just presses the cellphone or scans the QRIS code.
G20 participating countries can imitate the implementation of digital money transfers because they may not be 100% cashless in their countries. The capital is internet access (if possible, 5G) and counseling, because the program is relatively new.
It is undeniable that all countries must carry out economic transformation if they want to progress, because there are many advantages. Among them are accelerating the economy, because orders can be delivered after getting them via an online shop and payment is made using a digital wallet or M-Banking transfer. In addition, it will reduce the risk of getting counterfeit money.
By hosting the G20 Summit, Indonesia will become a pioneer, both in terms of overcoming the impact of the pandemic in the health and economic fields. Economic transformation must be carried out by all countries if they want to progress, because now is the era of information technology. Later all G20 member countries will feel the positive impact.
The G20 Summit is an international event and when Indonesia is the host, there will be many advantages. Among them are great opportunities for investment from G20 member countries. In addition, the G20 Summit will be a catalyst for economic transformation, especially the digital economy. Everything will be online and faster and more accurate.
