The global uproar due to the allegedly deadly Corona virus made Wuhan seem to be in a circle of death. How not, many victims are exposed to this virus that must end up dying.

Indonesia itself is one of the countries involved in the commotion over this deadly virus. However, in reality, many consider that Indonesia is indeed immune to the Covid-19 virus. This is evident from a number of reports stating that many Indonesians returning from Wuhan were declared 100 percent healthy, even though the city was beginning to develop the virus . It also did not escape the optimal role of the government in anticipating the spread of this virus.

The spread of the Corona alias Covid-19 virus, which has stirred up to 19 countries, has reportedly come to light. The Chinese are keen to conduct various studies to be able to find antivirals for this endemic. And finally Chinese scientists claim to have obtained the corona virus antidote. In fact, it turns out that the drug is commonly used in Indonesia as a malaria vaccine.

Mala ria is a disease is considered endemic in Indonesia, which has plagued a number of areas in the eastern region. At least nearly one month after the outbreak of the Corona Virus , scientists in China claim to have found a cure for the outbreak . And it turns out, the drug is commonly used in our country, Indonesia.

The drug in question is chloroquine phosphate. In Indonesia, this drug is usually used specifically for malaria vaccines. This drug is usually consumed 1 to 2 weeks before traveling to the “malaria area”, taking this drug for up to 4 weeks after returning from the area.

Some of the areas that have been affected by this outbreak include, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Maluku, Sulawesi, West Papua, Papua and parts of Suma tera to Kalimantan.

Earlier, reported by a newspaper, Sun Yanrong as Deputy Head of the National Center for Biotechnology Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, at a conference said scientists ” unanimously” had suggested the drug could be included in the next version of the treatment guidelines. , and can be applied in more comprehensive clinical trials as soon as possible.

Sun is also suspected to add that chloroquine phosphate e has been clinically tested in more than 10 hospitals in Beijing, specifically in Guangdong Province in Southern China, and Hunan Province in Central China.

From the results of these clinical trials, it shows that chloroquine phosphate has a fairly good efficacy rate . Some of the signs of the patient’s condition that are considered to be improved include a decrease in fever, an increase in images on lung CT, as well as a percentage of patients who become negative in the viral nucleic acid test. In addition, patients taking o bat also need a relatively short time to recover.

So far there have been no reported adverse effects from the use of the drug, which reportedly has been given to more than 100 patients registered in clinical trials.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo rejected the statement of the Chinese Ambassador, Xiao Qian, that the Indonesian government had been overreactive in dealing with the Corona virus. One of them, is in terms of setting a special travel tire for Indonesia-China flight routes.

According to Jokowi, these actions are precautions that must be taken, no matter what the opinions of other countries. Jokowi added that national interests must indeed be prioritized.

In line with Jokowi’s direction, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi also said that all policies taken by the Indonesian government had been through very mature considerations. That is why, Indonesia is considered even relatively late in establishing this travel tire policy.

In addition to withholding flight routes, Indonesia also said it was limiting imports of goods from the bamboo curtain country. One of them is the ban on live animal imports that occur in a number of countries. President Jokowi instead asked the trade sector to immediately respond to the ban on imports of Chinese products that occurred in several countries by intensifying exports of Indonesian products.

Another opinion was expressed by the Chinese Ambassador , Xiao Qian, who considered Indonesia’s steps would cause disruption to cooperation with China going forward . In fact, he said that Indonesia has the potential to suffer economic and tourism losses if it continues.

Budi Karya rejected the words of Xiao Qian, that he hoped this would not happen. He reiterated that policies related to the Corona virus had been cross- linked across institutions. So the hope is that the business of the two countries will continue to run according to the provisions.

Judging from the government’s aggressive attitude in the effort to deal with the corona virus, it really needs a thumbs up. Despite criticism, Jokowi remained firm in enforcing a number of rules to protect his country, Indonesia. In fact, Jokowi himself stressed, national interests are the country’s priorities. In fact, this has paid off, after all the people of Indonesia are free from Corona virus exposure.
