Independence Celebration of Indonesia’s 75th Anniversary is just a matter of days. As an effort to interpret the celebration, the public is urged to adhere to health protocols to accelerate the handling of Covid-19, which is currently still happening.
Independence day is getting closer, usually this moment will be filled with various lively activities such as competitions or a joyous stage featuring various artistic actions. However, this year, of course, there is a different matter, in which policies related to physical distancing obligations make activities that allow the creation of crowds to be stopped.
However, that does not mean that the independence day is not filled with any activities. One thing that could be applied was the distribution of 1000 red and white masks by the Police and TNI in Mojokerto. This activity was carried out as a form of campaign for the success of the East Java provincial government program.
This activity also made the Mojokerto Police Chief together with the main officials of the Mojokerto Police and the Dandim 0815 Mojokerto to distribute masks in several locations in the Mojosari District, Mojokerto Regency.
People who are carrying out buying and selling activities in the sawahan market and road users who are caught not wearing masks will immediately be given masks free of charge to be used immediately at that time.
Not only for masks, Mojokerto Police together with Kodim 0815, also fielded cars and motorbikes in the process of distributing masks to residents, as well as educating the public regarding the importance of complying with health protocols to break the chain of covid-19 transmission.
The government has also invited all Indonesian people to welcome the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia with a spirit of creativity and joy without forgetting the meaning of independence and patriotism to be together optimistic about rising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy / Main Secretary of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani said. Although currently Indonesia is still in a situation of limitations.
However, the implementation of the flag ceremony will still be held at the Presidential Palace. So that the flag-raising troops were only allowed 8 people.
In the past, warriors fought tooth and nail to keep out the invaders, but this time we are all struggling to free ourselves from an invisible viral infection.
Fighting corona does not use weapons or sharp bamboo, but corona can be countered with health protocols such as the use of masks, maintaining distance and washing hands with soap / handsanitizer.
We are also familiar with the term #dirumahAja, this hashtag was trending and not even a few well-known brands inserted this message.
However, not everyone can do activities at home, such as medical personnel who still leave according to schedule.
Then how do you stay productive even without having to leave the house? Of course there are struggles that we can try, one of which is by taking online courses or by trying to work to produce works from home.
Such steps can certainly be done, especially for those affected by layoffs, the increase in the spike in Covid-19 cases was accompanied by an increase in the unemployment rate.
Of course this is a test, but this time we are struggling to survive as long as the pandemic is still ongoing.
The struggle today is certainly different from the struggle in the 1940s. The struggle this time could be in the form of increasing self-awareness of compliance with health protocols and the struggle to learn new knowledge to be used as a hook in earning a living.
Previously, the Indonesian President Joko Widodo had advised all elements of the nation to continue to struggle and be optimistic in facing the corona virus pandemic. The current pandemic is a test for the nation that needs to be resolved together with solidarity, mutual cooperation and unity.
The former Mayor of Surakarta said the tough challenges faced by the pandemic were also felt by 215 countries in the world. According to him, this nation must rise to become a winner in controlling the virus or in efforts to recover the economy, which is currently being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The government together with the community must continue to strive and work together in dealing with this pandemic. The community must also remind each other so that discipline in implementing health protocols must be carried out.
Really this time we are all being tested from all fronts. Of course the struggle still continues even though there is no competition that offers various actions from the community.
