Support for the inauguration of Jokowi-Ma’ruf as President / Vice President continues to flow. Even the community is willing to take to the streets in order to escort the inauguration of Jokowi-Ma’ruf who was elected constitutionally through the 2019 elections.
The flood of support for Jokowi-Ma’ruf as President / Vice-President has begun to fill public spaces. Apart from those who disagree, but for the pros, of course this momentum is highly anticipated. The inauguration was the culmination of the 2019 election democratic party a few months ago. Support came from various parties, ranging from civil society to high state officials. Some distributed flowers, banners and posters to passersby.
One of Jokowi’s supporters is the General Chairperson of Projo Mass Organizations Budi Arie Setiadi. He stated that he had prepared the technical inauguration of the former mayor of Solo. He also ensured that there would be millions of Jokowi’s pros who would attend the event. Although this is an expression of excitement, he assured that there would be no rah-rah event after the inauguration procession was held. No doubt, he still felt anxiety due to interference from the stowaways of democracy. However, the enthusiasm of welcoming the title of the inauguration process did not slow down.
Elsewhere, a number of residents staged a peaceful rally supporting and escorting the inauguration of elected president Joko Widodo which will be held on 20 October. This peaceful action which took place around Sarinah, Central Jakarta, invited community participation to be more concerned with Jokowi’s leadership. In addition they also echoed the invitation of peace and resisted various provocation efforts. Which has implications for the failure of this inauguration.
Another full support came from an alliance called the peaceful action of the Unified Surabaya High School Alumni (ASSB). This organization distributed small red and white flags to the public in front of the Grahadi State Building, Surabaya. In his speech, his party demanded the inauguration of the president and vice president must be carried out on time without any delay. This is because there is a lot of noise so that the procession is postponed.
Not only a matter of his support for Jokowi, this organization also delivered various forms of positive invitations to be aware of movements that were not in accordance with the corridors and applicable rules. Avoiding various forms of fighting and provocation from irresponsible parties. Moreover the hoax news spread and contained utterances of hatred.
The masses also appealed to the activists to carry out these violent demonstrations to avoid being radicalized by groups. Besides that, ASSB also stated several attitude points, one of which was, Ready to oversee the inauguration of Joko Widodo and Ma’ruf Amin who were elected constitutionally. They also stated that they fully support the democratic process which is civilized and in accordance with the rules. Including appeals to the public, especially the city of Heroes to maintain order, calm and peace.
In another corner, a volunteer action named Benteng Jokowi (BeJO) said it was ready to oversee the inauguration on October 20, 2019. It rejected the sabotage efforts of certain groups who tried to thwart the inauguration. BeJO also responded to the current conditions regarding the hectic demonstrations in the DPR and several other regions. Therefore, BeJO from Aceh to Papua remain calm and maintain a more conducive situation.
Even with the Big BeJo Family, they firmly reject demonstrations that lead to anarchism, destructive matters and provocations that only aim to make the atmosphere worse. He also appealed to all volunteers supporting the Jokowi-Ma’ruf pair to remain solid and not easily provoked by the situation. The Jokowi Benteng Family will also always push the fiber to be ready in the front lines to oversee the Inauguration of the President and Vice-President on October 20
It was mentioned in the press conference that BeJO participated in reading the pledge of support which was delivered by the board of the Kalimantan BeJO Board of Trustees. And Furthermore BeJO representatives from the regions will also speak out to express their opinions.
As Nataniel Dasinapa, BejO Chairperson of the Mamberamo Raya Regency, Papua Province stated, that Papua still fully supports the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin inauguration process, because this is a state agenda.
Another case with KH. Mastur Umar, who stated that it was legitimate when the people expressed their aspirations, but still had to create a conducive situation. So that there is no damage and undermine the authority of the nation. Because real action to overthrow the legitimate government and do things damage is strictly prohibited by Islam.
Also rejoicing, the election of the elected President is also the Vice President. To you, we hope to restrain Indonesia from moving forward and stronger. Hopefully the mandate of the next 5 years will be able to be carried out more optimally. So that welfare distribution can be realized soon.
