Large-Scale Social Restrictions try to Minimize of Covid-19 Transmission

The government has chosen the large-scale Social Limitation (PSBB) option in responding to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The policy has been regulated in the Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No. 9 of 2020 concerning the PSBB guidelines in the framework of handling Covid-19 which is expected to minimize Covid-19 transmission.
The PSBB in the Jakarta area in particular was approved by Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto along with the increasing number of corona virus cases in DKI Jakarta.
In the regulation of the Minister of Health (Permenkes) it is stated that the PSBB is a limitation of certain activities for residents in an area suspected of being infected with the corona virus. This aims to prevent the spread of corona virus even greater.
In Article 2 of the Minister of Health Regulation, it is stated that a new area can be stipulated in the PSBB status, if it has these two points; First, the number of cases and / or the number of deaths due to disease increased and spread significantly and rapidly to several regions. Second, there are similarities in the pattern of disease spread with other regions or countries.
If referring to these 2 points, of course the DKI Jakarta area has fulfilled its requirements, moreover, DKI Jakarta has become the largest epicenter of the spread of corona virus in Indonesia, with a total of more than 1300 cases.
Of course this PSBB is different from lockdown. Oscar Primadi as Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, emphasized that PSBB is certainly different from lockdown. He stated, lockdown prevents people from leaving the house. Meanwhile, PSBB still allows residents to leave the house by obeying the rules.
This was also confirmed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo who also stated that the PSBB was very much different from the lockdown.
In the lockdown condition, people are not allowed to leave the house at all, all transportation ranging from cars, motorcycles, trains, to aircraft can not operate.
Not only that, President Jokowi also explained that office activities could all be stopped, if a lockdown occurred.
In implementing PSBB, there are certainly things that must be limited such as school and workplace activities. School and workplace activities are included in those limited in the CBDR, except for offices or strategic institutions that provide security or security services, public order, food needs, fuel or gas, health, economy, finance, communication, industry, exports and imports , logistics distribution and other basic needs.
In addition, religious activities are also limited, so that during the PSBB, religious activities must be carried out at home and attended by a limited number of families, and of course keep everyone away.
In addition, religious activities must be guided by the laws and regulations and fatwas or views of official religious institutions recognized by the government.
Activities in public places are also limited, so there are no events that have the potential to generate crowds such as car free days or music concerts.
However, restrictions on places or public facilities get exceptions for minimarkets, supermarkets, markets, shops, hospitals, health centers or clinics and places that provide basic needs such as oil and gas fuel.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Nana Sudjana has guaranteed the security of DKI Jakarta during the PSBB. It will maximize its members in the field to maintain the security of the Jakarta area.
Nana said that the current situation of kamtibmas in the DKI Jakarta area is still relatively conducive. According to him, concerns about the rampant crime during the PSBB had been anticipated by the police.
Nana said that a variety of activities have been carried out to urge the public to remain vigilant in guarding and maintaining themselves independently.
On different occasions, the Tangerang Regency Government has shown its readiness to face the implementation of the PSBB policy. The district government plans to form a team up to the RW level to finalize the readiness.
Of course the application of PSSB in Tangerang must also be applied seriously, because in the past month the community has begun to get nervous due to economic and social conditions due to the spread of the corona virus.
PSBB is a protocol that is expected to be a flexible step in preventing corona virus transmission. PSBB does indeed prohibit events that have the potential to give birth to a crowd of people, but that does not mean vital public facilities such as supermarkets are also closed.
Thus, this policy must certainly be understood and implemented wisely by the wider community, by working, studying and worshiping at home, and do not leave the house if it is not urgent.
