Indonesia as a country with a multicultural society, many people who deliberately throw issues to create conflict in the community. Terrorism is one that often makes people uneasy and disadvantages various parties. Acts of terrorism is one of the actions carried out with the aim to arouse feelings of fear and anxiety. The action is usually systematically structured for a particular purpose.
Acts of terrorism can be categorized as a threat of violence and take human rights.
Meanwhile, the act of radicalism is an understanding that requires a change or change to a system in society by using violence.
In addition, radicalism which is a system carried out by terrorists and their supporters by using extreme violence to achieve certain goals which also has the legitimacy of religious doctrine becomes the source of the formation of hardline groups. On the other hand, radical movements also influence the thoughts of society to be rigid and closed.
The phenomenon of radicalism has also entered the world of education through various forms of media and methods. So, against radicalism not only by action, but also preventive efforts from an early age so that radicalism understanding and movement does not emerge, especially for school-age children. Therefore, it is necessary to have a strategy in counteracting radicalism.
Meanwhile, the main thing that is able to prevent radicalism or terrorism, is the internalization of the values of Pancasila. Pancasila is a basic system of the state offered by Indonesia’s first president, Ir. Soekarno as philosofische gronslag or basis, philosophers, the soul of Indonesia. Pancasila and its values are a guideline or identity of the Indonesian people. Therefore, the lack of actualization of the value of Pancasila will accelerate the pace of radicalism in society.
The Need to Implement Pancasila Values
Chancellor of the Eleven March University (UNS), Jamal Wiwoho argued that with Presidential Regulation No. 7 of 2018 concerning BPIP explained that BPIP can be a container as well as an answer to denying the understanding of Pancasila values in the community after the reformation by maintaining and implementing Pancasila values through internalization of the Pancasila Ideology.
Constitutional Law Expert and Founder of the Center for Law and Policy Studies, Bivitri Susanti explained that Pancasila was not actually to regulate specific behavior, but rather led to ideology, which were ideals which could be translated openly or termed ideologically. open.
Everyone can certainly memorize the points of Pancasila, but not necessarily understand the meaning, meaning or value contained therein. So, when they have an understanding of their class, they will naturally be more submissive to their own class. Forgetting the values of God, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice that have been formed to build a better Indonesia.
Acts of terrorism and intolerance that occur in this country certainly has violated the value of Pancasila. Pancasila precepts can be a padlock for the Republic of Indonesia and able to provide a way of life to continue to maintain the diversity that exists. So that together with opponents of Radicalism and communism for the sake of security and stability of the Nation and State towards advanced Indonesia.
