The President has announced to issue a package of economic worth Rp405, 1 Trillion. The policy was issued to help people affected by the spread of Corona Virus or Covid-19.
The cycle of the Corona virus spreading in the country not only endangers humans. But it also affected a number of sectors, especially in the economic field. As we know, the national economy and even the world has weakened . The manufacturing sector to MSMEs has been out of business for a while, with indefinite time limits. The concern that greets is not an easy matter. Silence at home alias lockdown independently (region) makes the lower-class economic wheels seem increasingly pressed. Those who claim to be little people feel so panicked.
Fear of virus attacks still seems to be less frightening than just the hunger they enjoy. Therefore, a number of rules or recommendations that are applied more or less just a breeze. Some people also think that if they are not determined to go out to work, there will be no income to meet their needs.
As a result, the complaints were then responded by President Jokowi. His office has officially taken action, by issuing an economic package for the people affected by Corona. This flushless amount of funds is specifically given to citizens who have difficulty meeting needs. Including for medical personnel who struggle as the front guard against Covid -19.
With the spread of this stimulus, Jokowi hopes that everything can be controlled better. In addition, the assistance is expected to be able to offset the implementation of large-scale social restrictions that will be applied by the government. Popularly known as PSBB, Physical distancing is intended to reduce the spread of Corona virus. So, being able to cut down Corona transmission to its roots.
The PSBB is planned to be equipped with a legal entity, so that community members can comply to fight COVID-19. One of them was mentioned for parties who did not comply with this regulation would be subject to a number of fines and imprisonment. Even in neighboring countries such as Malaysia have implemented this policy. With a minimum fine equivalent to Rp1 million rupiah.
Not to prohibit, but the government wants to protect and break the chain of distribution of COVID-19 as soon as possible. So that conditions return to normal. Not dismiss if the government is keen to campaign for it. In addition to the fairly high mortality rate, what is feared is that the potential for its spread will become more widespread if it is not immediately addressed.
Therefore, the government took the option with large-scale social restrictions. But this is not quarantine territory, you know! Jokowi also briefly related to quarantine in this area. He said that if the area quarantine must be coordinated with the central government because it is not the authority of the regional government.
Some economic packages that will be provided include health funds which include the provision of medical devices, especially PPE (personal protective equipment), the provision of 132 hospitals to deal with COVID-19 patients, including incentives for medical personnel and others.
The government also provides free electricity payment facilities with 450VA power for 24 million customers for 3 months. While for 900VA power is given a discount of up to 50 percent for 7 million customers. Provision of basic food items as well as other basic commodities with a total value of Rp25 trillion.
There is also an economic package for tax stimulus, People’s Business Credit and many others. It is planned that this assistance will be given immediately, after coordinating with stakeholders. With the implementation of the provision of assistance, it is expected that residents will remain more calm in facing the crisis conditions due to this Corona.
Aside from assistance, the most important thing is creating effective synergy to overcome the impact of COVID-19. Both morally and spiritually. Indonesia is in need of support, empathy is also a concern so that the spread of Corona virus can be controlled immediately.
No matter how many lives are at stake. Our task now is to make it a lesson, So it won’t be repeated in the future. Always be aware of Corona attacks, because we can be in optimal condition with a maximum immune system. However, that does not mean we do not have the potential to transmit, you know! Moreover, Corona only attacks those who have low immunity, such as the elderly, infants and children. Come on, face the Corona pandemic now.
