Realizing Golden Indonesia 2045: Jokowi’s Sustainability Program Must Be Continued by the Next Leader
Observer of strategic and global issues, Prof. Imron Cotan said, The 2024 political contest is expected to produce national leaders who can realize sustainable programs. This is believed to be the key to realizing Golden Indonesia 2045.
This was conveyed in the Moya Institute’s National discussion entitled “Proclamation: Opportunities and Challenges for Leaders Towards Indonesia Gold 2045” on Friday (25/8).
“The leader must be able to build a national consensus and ensure that the entire Indonesian nation becomes part of the effort to achieve Indonesia Gold 2045,” said Prof. Imron Cotan.
According to him, the 2024 presidential election will be a momentum for the Indonesian people to be able to choose a leader in order to consider national interests, namely a golden Indonesia in 2045.
“The presidential election is a crucial moment in determining the direction of Indonesia in the next two decades. Voters should consider a candidate who not only has a clear international vision, but also a strong commitment to advancing domestic interests,” he continued.
On the other hand, the Chancellor of Jenderal Achmad Yani University, Hikmahanto Juwana, in the same discussion said, whoever is elected in the political contest in 2024 must be able to become a bridge in fostering leadership in achieving golden Indonesia in 2045.
“In order to achieve this desire, whoever the presidential candidate has been determined by the KPU needs to have a commitment to reject foreign intervention that seeks to control us,” said Hikmahanto.
On the same occasion, Fahri Hamzah emphasized that future leaders must have a global leadership spirit. Because according to him, Indonesia is one of the world’s global powers.
“This country is designed to become a global player,” said Fahri.
“Don’t forget, one of the goals of this nation is global, namely to implement world order based on freedom, eternal peace and social justice,” he continued.
General Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, argues that there are four sovereignties that are important to be strengthened to achieve “Golden Indonesia 2045”.
First, political sovereignty whose substance is self-determination, according to the 1945 Constitution. Second, territorial sovereignty to optimize everything contained in Indonesia’s land. Third, cultural sovereignty which shows that we have unique characteristics and characteristics as an Indonesian nation. Finally, sovereignty is an international position to create world peace
“In order for these four sovereignties to become the foundation towards Golden Indonesia 2045, the supporting strength lies in human resources (HR),” said Mu’ti.
For this reason, the new leadership must be sustainable and serious in building sovereignty and achieving national interests, namely Indonesia Gold 2045.
“For this reason, the new government’s program must be sustainable, not changed and started from zero again,” he added.
