The management of clean water in the capital is very lucrative, especially Jakarta is the center of power and Indonesian business. The business of water in Jakarta has been dominated by private corporations. However, since Joko Widodo has served as the Jakarta Provincial Military Governor, this problem has become an attention and plans to be acquired by the DKI Regional Government. Furthermore, when Ahok served as Governor, the management of clean water was in the hands of the Regional Government. Unfortunately, when Anies-Sandi held power, clean water was again sold to the private sector. What exactly is the water management business in the Capital and what companies are playing and the people behind the corporation?
Before that, we need to understand that water which is natural wealth should not be controlled by private companies. Article 33 Paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution states that “Production branches that are important to the state and which control the livelihood of many people are controlled by the state”. Then strengthen by Article 33 Paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution which reads “Earth and water and the natural wealth contained therein is controlled by the state and used for the greatest prosperity of the people”. On this basis, the corporation of clean water is a violation of the law.

There are two Private Companies that manage Clean Water in Jakarta, namely Palyja which serves West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and parts of Central Jakarta; and Aetra serving East Jakarta, North Jakarta and parts of Central Jakarta. In June 2017 together with the victory of Anies-Sandi, Sandi released Acuatico Pte Ltd shares to the Salim Group through its subsidiary, Moya Indonesia Holdings Pte Ltd.
Judging from the disclosure report of Moya Holdings Asia Limited on the Singapore Stock Exchange, the acquisition value of all Acuatico shares was valued at US $ 92.87 million, equivalent to Rp1.24 trillion. Big profit password. Even if Sandi loses, the fate of his shares will fall and be taken over by the DKI Government at the price of garbage. And now the DKI Regional Government cannot do much because it has legitimized the extension of PT Aetra Air Jakarta’s permit. Of course, with this acquisition, the shares of Moya Indonesia Holdings Pte Ltd will increase which will make the Salim Group and Sandi rich, of course.
But did you know that Aetra customers until December 2016 were 435,777 with service coverage until December 2016 was 60.77%. This means that the future growth opportunity is still very large. During the DKI Pilgub campaign, Sandiaga confidently stated that he would build a clean water network he said would be built so that densely populated settlements, riverbanks or suburban areas could still use clean water. Sandiaga naturally dares to guarantee this because he has shares in the company. But what is an important question is why when the Deputy Governor will provide this for the citizens? Why not from yesterday?
As information, there are more than 5 million Jakarta residents who have not enjoyed clean water. If only Aetra is believed to have installed 1 million new pipes with a rate of 1 million, then you know how much Aetra can get ?? IDR 1,000,000,000,000. That is if you get 1 million new customers, if more ?? Of course the bigger. How much is Sandiaga ?? Only Sandiaga knows. That is why campaign funds from a personal pocket of Rp. 46.7 billion are not comparable to the benefits that will be obtained.
That is Sandiaga Uno, a great corporate super rich that results from monopoly and crime against the people. Whatever was done by PT Aerta, Sandi clearly violated the mandate of the 1945 Constitution article 33 paragraph 2 and 3. It should have been controlled by the state for the benefit of the people, but Sandi was monopolized for his own interests. Many mothers ask why can Sandi at a young age become rich. And Ma’am is aware that Sandi’s business is not clean, full of corporate oppression.
