President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin are committed to simplifying regulation. One example is using the concept of Omnibus Law Employment Creation which is believed to bring a number of advantages for employers and trade unions. Difficult licensing requirements that must be met, often raising the question “If it can be easy why should it be complicated anyway!” Or “Why good intentions must be hampered by conditions?”. Difficult requirements or permits often make people despair and force to take shortcuts that violate applicable norms and laws.

We should be thankful that President Joko Widodo seems to be well aware that the losses from difficult regulations and regulations have hampered Indonesia’s economic growth and progress. He made the simplification of regulations a priority program and was determined to cut down the constraining regulations, in order to create an ecosystem of the business world that would help investment. In particular, the government will maximize improvements related to investment licensing in Indonesia.

President Joko Widodo hopes that the implementation of comprehensive reforms to the licensing and investment ecosystem will be the main key for Indonesia in overcoming the downward trend of the global economy. In fact, the government will invite the House of Representatives to issue two major laws, namely the Employment Copyright Act and the Law

UMKM Empowerment. Each of these Laws will become an Omnibus Law, which is one Act which simultaneously revises up to dozens of Laws. Dozens of laws that hamper job creation and hinder the development of MSMEs will be immediately revised at once to remove obstacles to economic growth in Indonesia.

To be able to realize the simplification of regulations, of course the President needs a lot of support and cooperation from all relevant stakeholders and the people of Indonesia. Simplification of regulations has now begun to be carried out by several ministries, one of which is the Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry), Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto revealed that his ministry was summarizing as many as 18 regulations to improve competitiveness. Even now the Ministry of Industry is finalizing the elimination of 18 regulations and also simplifying the 6 related regulations.

The policy is in line with the government’s priority program so that a number of ministries immediately cut licensing regulations that can slow down investment activities. He hopes that the ease of regulation will make Indonesia grow in the future, and continue to make it easier to adjust to the technological needs in the future.

In addition to the Ministry of Industry, simplification of regulations has also begun by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs). The Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian revealed that the Ministry of Home Affairs would re-examine and recommend the cancellation of Perda / Perkada which slowed down and complicated the licensing process, and ensured the DPMPTSP business process in the regions in order to simplify and speed up licensing and simplify the technical recommendation process that was integrated with licensing prior to issuance of the omnibus law. .

If observed closely, simplifying regulations or simplifying licensing seems to be something quite crucial. Because, with the existence of this will boost the spirit of investment or community entrepreneurship and improve various economic sectors. On the other hand, simplification of regulations will stop legal mafia efforts in bribery and corruption. The positive impact of the simplification of regulations will be able to make the economic situation of Indonesia better. Because, not only from the government, but all the people will also enjoy the results of their welfare. Superior Indonesia. Advanced Indonesia.
