The impact of riots in Papua has now subsided and has been confirmed conducive. However, various parties continue to pay close attention to the latest developments so that security stability will soon return to normal.

Demonstrations the other day in several cities in Papua seem to have begun to subside. All communities have returned to their usual activities. The shopping center began to operate and public facilities began to be repaired.

Even though the situation is safe and conducive, the government does not remain silent. This is evident from the National Police Chief and the Commander of the Armed Forces who immediately intervened to confirm the situation in Papua. They flew to Papua and West Papua. They have an agenda to have a dialogue with community leaders there.

This dialogue aims to ensure security and the situation to return to normal. The good news is that the National Police Chief and the Armed Forces Commander will have offices in Papua and West Papua until conditions are truly stable.

Also mentioned if they want to be there around 4 to 10 days. However, this depends on the situation and conditions there. Gen. Tito Karnavian stressed that if the conditions in Papua were safe and conducive it could not be separated from his efforts to deploy thousands of joint police and military personnel.

So he made sure the situation was more stable, safe to control. Moreover, he also plans to hold an additional strength of approximately 6000 personnel for the Earth of Paradise. If it is still lacking, security will be tightened and added again.

Regarding the reasons why the National Police and the TNI intervened, none other than to ascertain the situation in the Land of Papua more clearly and in detail. He also promised to crack down on anyone who acts anarchist or rioting.

On the other hand, the latest news mentioned that if there were 300 people of Wamena Papua who were deceived by a mass coordinator who ended up in chaos the other day. They stated that they were committed to not taking part in any demonstrations.

They feel provoked by irresponsible persons related to the issue of racism which was busy some time ago. In his statement, Kapendam XVII / Cenderawasih, CPL Lieutenant Colonel Eko Daryanto stated that these 300 people hid in Numbay, Jayapura. They expressed their regret, and claimed to be afraid to return to their territories in Abepura and Wamena.

They said if the reason they were hiding was fear of retaliation from the people who were victims of the riots. Namely, victims of looting, arson and destruction during the demonstration that ended riot the other day.

On Sunday afternoon, representatives from the group met with the Head of the Papua Provincial Education Office. He requested assistance from Mr. Desman Kogaya to provide security guarantees as well as means of transportation to transport them back to their respective regions.

Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih has prepared approximately 15 TNI / Polri trucks to repatriate the masses. Evacuation was divided into 2 waves, namely the first wave transported as many as 116 people and the second wave around 172 people.

The process of evacuation and repatriation of the masses that was closely guarded by Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih and the Papua Regional Police proceeded smoothly. Found one person who was allegedly the perpetrators of looting. This is proven by the discovery of a new motorcycle key in his pocket. But it was immediately secured at Jayapura Regional police station.

This condition is felt more calm, the situation has stabilized due to extra security from the authorities and the government. On the other hand, many parties are aware that their actions are only the result of incitement from irresponsible elements. Moreover there is a confession of regret and apologizing if the masses who committed the destruction will not be provoked again.

What is also encouraging news is the rapid movement of all elements of society that compact the situation. Both from the government, youth leaders and other communities. Although it is inevitable that they must struggle in the midst of the issues that have been sparked in order to cloud the atmosphere.

With this incident the community as a whole is encouraged to keep thinking and behaving positively. Avoid a variety of news and actions that can provoke. Which will only hurt yourself and others.

However respect in the implications of tolerance among humans is very mandatory. Given that Indonesia is a multicultural country. The country consists of a variety of races, tribes and customs that have been entrenched.
