Strengthening Synergy Against Covid-19

The Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected everything, from health to economic status. Especially when the PSBB was implemented, not a few workers suddenly did not earn money because they were laid off or sent home by their employers. To reduce the spread of covid-19 is absolutely absolutely necessary for all parties, both public and private agencies. Both must work together so that this pandemic can be handled properly.
The Covid-19 pandemic is arguably a tough opponent to conquer. Especially if the government has to fight it alone, of course it feels unable.
Moreover, we had previously learned that personal protective equipment (PPE) at the beginning of the pandemic was equipment that was difficult to obtain. So that the role of the private sector, NGOs or voluntary-based communities in providing assistance is one concrete step in supporting medical personnel who continue to work during a pandemic.
So that cross-sector synergy must be pursued, because Covid-19 has generated various problems that require cooperation in handling them.
On different occasions, the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (GAPENSI) stated that there is a need for synergy between the government and construction market players in dealing with the impact of Covid-19.
Gapensi Deputy Secretary General II, Errika Ferdinata said there was a need for concrete synergy between the government and construction market players represented by the Association to deal with the impact of Covid-19 and the aftermath of the pandemic.
Errika also said that this synergy is very important so that there is no gap between the government and construction market players during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, he also suggested that the role of the construction service development agency (LPJK) be further enhanced as a representative of the construction service community in order to become an accelerator for the development of the national construction industry, both from the stakeholder and construction service side.
The increasing role of LJK is quite important in facing the post-COVID-19 era and digital transformation. He also explained that LPJK is expected to develop the national construction industry so that it can compete at the global level.
On different occasions, Indonesian President Joko Widodo also said that in handling Covid-19, a close synergy is needed. This statement was made by Jokowi after learning that the transmission rate in the Surabaya area was still high.
Seeing the high rate of transmission in the Surabaya area, Jokowi is of the view that the City of Heroes together with a number of Sekotar areas as an anglomeration must be maintained and handled first as a unit.
He also considered that dealing with the spread of covid-19 Surabaya could not be done alone. But Gresik, Sidoarjo and other districts must be in the same management. This is because the flow of in and out mobility is not only from Surabaya, but from other areas which are also affected by the rise and fall of the Covid-19 incidence.
President Jokowi has also instructed the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) II to participate in handling the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in East Java Province.
The former Mayor of Surakarta also requested that the control of Covid-19 in East Java Province be carried out by synergizing and being integrated among the existing organizational units. He has also requested that all parties move together within the framework of crisis management so that they can immediately reduce the spread of the pandemic.
Synergy in other sectors is also carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and PP Muhammadiyah in an effort to increase national food security. This synergy is intended so that people’s purchasing power which has been weakened due to the pandemic can revive.
Strengthening synergy is of course very vital, because the PSBB has resulted in a decrease in people’s purchasing power so PP Muhammadiyah and the Ministry of Agriculture need to make efforts to improve the welfare of the community.
Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo said, Muhammadiyah is a large organization that has stakeholders throughout Indonesia. Therefore, his party cooperates in the field of food security together to create a pilot that can revive the community’s economy.
In this work, the ministry and PP Muhammadiyah will form a task force that focuses on the land to be cultivated.
The Covid-19 pandemic cannot be handled by one party alone, because there are many sectors affected by these invisible creatures, so synergy between parties is very important in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic.
