Government efforts in eradicating Corruption in SOE institutions are being diligently being carried out. This is because these profit-making institutions are still considered to need improvement so as not to harm the country and its people.

It is no longer a secret that the problem of corruption in Indonesia often causes confusion among its eradication. One policy is applied when another violation arises, one is approved, another thing arises as a problem. So that this government seems to dismantle pairs of regulations. This situation sometimes makes some parties doubt the government’s performance. Whereas various steps to dismantle this rule are nothing but to ensnare a number of parties named corruptors who are often good at discarding evidence of their crimes.

Lately, the public has again been busy with various news related to corruption in high institutions called SOEs. This State-Owned Enterprise should have performance and functions such as;
Providing support for the development of the national economy in general and state revenue in particular. Including organizing public benefits in the form of providing goods and or services of high quality and also adequate. Mainly for the fulfillment of the lives of many people.

However, the function and the performance is actually deflected by those who want to benefit themselves. Of course someone will be tempted if you see rupiah or projects and tenders with a value that is not kidding. Tens of up to hundreds of billions or more. For those who are not strong in faith and ignorant then this will be a field of opportunity to steal state money that actually comes from the people as well. Pity!

The government’s optimal efforts to tackle corruption have also been seen. However, there is still always a gap for them to undermine the constitutional system. Conspiracy up to the sale and purchase of positions which are considered profitable and can bring their wealth to shame without thinking about the sustainability of the government.

In line with what was stated by Saut Situmorang as the KPK official who stated that one of the triggers of corruption that occurred within the SOE was the practice of buying and selling positions. There are various assumptions to place people who are not competent in their fields in important positions by utilizing the practice of nepotism. Logically, the country has been harmed by the perpetrators of corruption and added that those who were placed in the office were considered to be increasingly complicated the performance of the government. Including paying salaries, isn’t this the same as eating blind salaries? What can people who are not competent in their jobs do? Already eat blind salary, make stagnant state order never participate in the meeting anyway! This will only be disastrous for our country!

Previously, in the discussion event Deputy Director of Integrity Vision Emerson Yuntho noted, there were around 60 cases of corruption involving SOEs and handled by the KPK until August 2019. In the discussion it was mentioned if the state losses reached Rp3.1 trillion. Fantastic amount, imagine if the money is to help or buy the needs of those in need, how many hundred or more poor people can be helped?

Some of them are cases of alleged corruption in the Riau-1 PLTU development project in which former PLN Managing Director Sofyan Basir has been named as a suspect.
Before Sofyan, the directors of state-owned enterprises that had assumed the status of corruption suspects included Director of PT Garuda Indonesia Emirsyah Satar, Director of PT PAL Indonesia Firmansyah Arifin, Director of PT Pelindo II RJ Lino, and Director of PT Asuransi Jasindo Budi Tjahjono.

When a position becomes the most desirable goal to increase wealth. The essence of this performance is questionable. Where are the sweet promises of officials who are sworn in state and religion? Or where are the slogans of rhetoric so that people are stunned and elect them as state officials?

Presumably indeed this problem of corruption must be tackled together, in unison with its people. So that the optimal eradication of these fruits can be maximized. If only one party weighs, surely it would not be possible to eradicate this act of corruption right?

Therefore, support for the government’s steps to root out the roots of corruption must be supported. Including placing a number of parties considered capable of making the eradication of corruption cases increase and produce results. It is not impossible if these chosen people will be able to boost the performance of SOEs which are considered to be lax to be fit and healthy again, because the mafia has been successfully overcome!
