Taking Care The Election Conflict Smartly
CIDISS. In early 2018, people who become sympathizers of a number of regional head candidates began to make preparations to support the role figure. Although this is actually good in order to enliven the democracy party, but if not controlled it only increases the political tensions of sympathizers so easily ignited. Furthermore, anarchist action is inevitable, thus potentially triggering conflict between supporters.
The purpose of simultaneous election of regional head is the creation of effectiveness and efficiency in terms of cost and time. However, the election of regional heads conducted simultaneously in 171 districts in 2018 can certainly lead to friction among sympathizers of potential supporters, thus prone to generate horizontal conflicts between groups. In fact, this poses a much greater conflict and national stability issue.
A bigger threat will arise post-election. Any attitude of unprofessionality and non-neutrality will affect public confidence in the election results. This can lead to a political crisis that leads to the emergence of social turmoil that will disrupt security and order. Law enforcement should be able to run quickly, effectively, objectively and fairly since the election stage so it can maintain the credibility of the election organizer.
Communities are asked to be more calm and intelligent in addressing all possible threats that occur. The role of the community is a key element in the smooth implementation of the election of regional head. Greater benefits of efficiency and effectiveness will be obtained if the election of regional head simultaneously can be done with fairplay and success. election of regional head is not a moment of attack each other in terms of ugliness. Election of regional head is a moment to convey aspirations for the betterment of the country. Be professional voters. Keep the electoral process up to the exact day of the election wisely, intelligently and calmly. Let’s bring together elections at once into a democratic moment that gives benefits, not the other way around. Whatever the outcome, depends on our hands.
