The Indonesian government continues to strive to further strengthen synergy with many parties in accelerating the Papua New Guinea. The active role of many parties is very important because it would not be possible for this development to be carried out successfully and optimally if it were not assisted by the entire community.
The Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) as well as several other related ministries and institutions are continuously trying to map out how the competency development system for state civil apparatus (ASN) resources in the regions is, as well as mapping HR competency development in 4 (four) New Autonomous Regions (DOB) of Papua.
Of course, efforts to map out how the human resource competency development system for ASNs aim to further support the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) to accelerate development in Cenderawasih Earth.
It is undeniable that collaboration and synergy between various ministries and related institutions is very important to achieve the goal of equitable development in the country which was initiated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Several ministries and institutions that took part in the discussion for the development of human resource competencies for the state civil apparatus were the ministries/agencies present at the meeting including the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises; Ministry of Transportation; Ministry of Trade; Ministry of Agriculture; Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning; Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration; Ministry of State Secretariat; Ministry of Health; Minister For Public Works and Human Settlements; State Cyber and Code Agency; National Narcotics Agency; State Civil Service Agency; National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia; as well as the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute.

Indirectly also, with the competency development of ASN, it will also be very useful for planning competency development programs in the short, medium and even long term, all of course to further accelerate the capacity building of all apparatus, so that it has an impact on accelerating development in Papua also.
In this regard, the Head of the BPSDM Ministry of Home Affairs, Sugeng Hariyono explained that all the steps taken were very strategic to further strengthen the capacity of the apparatus, which in the end would have a very positive impact on improving public services so that they would become even more qualified in the future for the community. .
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri), John Wempi Wetipo also hopes that there will be an increase in strengthening the synergy between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Commission II of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI). Strengthening this synergy will certainly continue to be able to support development in the four new autonomous regions of Papua, including in the Papua Highlands Province.
He also really hopes that with the strengthening of collaboration together, all of them aim to continue to oversee the process of accelerating development in the four New Autonomous Regions which at this time the Government of Indonesia has also jointly worked on, so that all the results will be correct. – really can be felt by all people as a whole.
In connection with the regional expansion through the new autonomous region (DOB) in Papua, this is based on the issuance of Law (UU) Number 2 of 2021 concerning the second Amendment to Law Number 21 of 2001 concerning Special Autonomy (Otsus) for Papua which mandates the formation of a new region in the Cenderawasih Earth region, many traditional leaders to religious leaders also gave their full support.
A Papuan religious figure, as well as the Chairperson of the Tabi Bangkit Community Forum, Pastor Alberth Yoku admitted that he really agreed and even continued to encourage the acceleration of development in Papua, which is through regional expansion with the aim of bringing prosperity for progress even in all aspects of society.
He considered that it was appropriate for the Land of Papua to have equitable distribution of development in all corners of its territory without exception, starting from improvements in adequate transportation activities, basic development and health which could also be established in a stable manner.
In the same vein, Chairman II of the Communion of Papuan Churches (PGGP), Pastor Maury also said that support from the entire community is indeed very important and needed by the Government of Indonesia, so there is no need to reject the government’s efforts to build the welfare of its people.
The accelerated development of the Papua New Guinea, which the Government of Indonesia continues to encourage, of course, really requires support from all parties without exception. Therefore, it is a shared duty and responsibility so that we can continuously strengthen each other’s synergy with all other parties in the development effort.
