North Morowali – The situation and conditions in the PT Gunbuster Nickel Industry (PT GNI) mining area in North Morowali (Morut) district have become conducive after clashes between workers a few days ago.
To create a conducive situation, as many as 909 TNI/Polri security personnel are still on alert to secure the PT GNI industrial area.
The village head in the Bahontula Morowali Utara village, Budi Tangko, spoke about the company PT. GNI in the area. He really supports the presence of PT. GNI in North Morowali Regency.
“With the presence of PT. GNI in North Morowali Regency, we as the government of the Bahontula sub-district together with the people of the Bahontula sub-district are very supportive of the investment presence of PT. GNI in North Morowali Regency,” he said.
He continued that, his party deeply regretted the clash that occurred at PT. GNI and hope that the public will not be provoked by issues that are developing and will always help to create a conducive situation.
“We deeply regret the tragedy that occurred at PT. Yesterday’s GNI, we asked all Bahontula people not to be provoked by the existence of developing issues that could undermine the brotherhood in our beloved country,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Village Head of Kolonodale Village, North Morowali Regency, M. Yamin Bagenda, said that the presence of PT. GNI in North Morowali Regency has a positive impact on the economy of the surrounding community.
“We, from the Kolonodale sub-district administration, together with the people of the Kolonodale sub-district, really accept and support the mining investment company PT. GNI in our region,” he said.
The Kolondale Lurah further assessed that the mining company PT. GNI has a very positive impact on the community’s economy.
Not only that, the administration of the Kolonodale Village, North Morowali Regency, deeply regretted the clash that occurred at PT. GNI where this incident can affect the economy of the community around North Morowali.
