The government is fully committed to launching the Free Health Check Program (CKG) on February 10, 2025, as a real form of visionary policy in strengthening preventive health services for all people. Through comprehensive examinations provided free of charge, the government shows its commitment to the people by making health a basic right of every citizen.

This program is not only innovative, but also proves that the state is present with concrete solutions to prevent disease early on. CKG targets all age groups, from infants to the elderly, and is widely available in various health facilities. This is proof that the government is not only reactive, but also proactive in building the future of national health.

Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that CKG is a very strategic long-term investment, not just a routine. By focusing on prevention, the government has proven that it is able to reduce the burden of health financing while increasing national productivity. Data from the Ministry of Health shows that without this government step, problems such as cardiovascular disease and stunting will continue to burden the nation.

To facilitate public access, the government has introduced three registration channels: the SATUSEHAT Mobile application, WhatsApp chatbot, and direct registration at health centers. Not only does it make things easier, this system also proves the government’s readiness to utilize technology for the benefit of the people. Examination was carried out at more than 10,200 health centers and 15,000 BPJS Kesehatan partner clinics — an extraordinary achievement in equalizing services.

Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono emphasized that by April 2025, more than 1.5 million residents had utilized this program, a very significant initial success. The government also acted quickly, collaborating with the TNI-Polri and local governments so that this program reaches all corners of the archipelago.

The government’s commitment does not stop there. Budi Gunadi Sadikin revealed that to reach the 3T areas, the government is building village clinics and pharmacies by consolidating health centers and health posts. This policy will be strengthened by national regulations, realizing a comprehensive and sustainable health ecosystem.

Not only infrastructure, the government is also increasing the capacity of health workers. By giving nurses and midwives a bigger role, especially in remote areas, the government has shown flexibility and courage in innovating for the best quality of service.

Dental health issues are also a priority. Head of the Ministry of Health’s Communication and Public Service Bureau, Aji Muhawarman explained that dental disease can trigger serious disorders, and the government immediately responded by lifting the moratorium on dental health care, increasing student quotas, and sending dentists to the regions. This shows that the government is acting quickly, strategically, and comprehensively.

With these extraordinary steps, the government ensures that CKG is not just a program – but a pillar of national health transformation. The state is present and takes real action to protect the people, from cities to villages, from babies to the elderly.

The success of CKG also reflects the government’s seriousness in prioritizing health as the main foundation of national development. President Jokowi has repeatedly emphasized the importance of human development from an early age through equitable and fair access to health. The CKG program is concrete evidence that this commitment is truly realized in the form of services that directly touch people’s lives, without discrimination and at no cost.

Collaboration between institutions is a major strength in expanding the reach of this program. In addition to the TNI-Polri and local governments, support from educational institutions, professional organizations, and local communities also accelerated the socialization and implementation of CKG in the field. With solid cross-sector synergy, no region is left behind, and all levels of society can feel the presence of the state in maintaining their health.

The Ministry of Health also continues to evaluate and innovate in the implementation of CKG. Digitalization of the examination result recording system, development of a real-time monitoring dashboard, and increasing interoperability between health platforms strengthen this service system. All of this shows that the government is not only working hard, but also working smart to create a national health system that is adaptive, modern, and oriented towards the future.

The government also ensures that all programs run transparently and accountably. Each stage of CKG implementation is reported periodically and openly to the public, so that the public can monitor the progress of the program directly. This transparency builds public trust and shows that the government is trulyr is serious about making health a top priority for development.

The government’s commitment to health does not stop at the CKG program. Various other policies such as increasing the health budget, distributing essential medicines evenly, and strengthening the national referral system show the continuity of strategic steps that support each other. All of these policies show that the government is not only present during a crisis, but continues to work hard in any situation for the benefit of the people.

Community participation in supporting and making the CKG program a success is highly appreciated by the government. Collective awareness to undergo routine check-ups and maintain health from an early age has created a wave of very positive cultural change. The government believes that with the spirit of mutual cooperation between the state and society, Indonesia will be able to build a healthy, resilient, and superior future generation in all fields.
