Ammunition Supplier for KST Papua Tried, Evidence of Government’s Legal Firmness on Separatism

The suppliers of ammunition for KST Papua have been successfully arrested by security forces in Indonesia. Now they are all being handed over to the State Attorney for trial. This is one of the concrete evidences of how firm the law is carried out by the Government of Indonesia in acts of separatism in the country.
As many as 3 (three) suspects supplying ammunition to the Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) in Papua will soon undergo a trial process after they are handed over to the Wamena District Attorney’s Office (Kejari). It is known that the three suspects were arrested by the Damai Cartenz Task Force (Satgas) and also the Jayawijaya Resort Police (Polres) on 7 February 2023.
For information, the 3 (three) suspects were arrested based on Police Report Number: LP/A/02/II/2023/SPKT/Polres Jayawjaya/Polda Papua.
Of course the arrests that took place were not without reason and happened or were carried out just like that, but the three people were arrested because they had indeed supplied 77 rounds of ammunition in the form of firearms to groups of separatist and terrorist groups in Bumi Cenderawasih in the Puncak area.
Regarding the arrest and subsequent handover of the three suspects to the Prosecutor’s Office, the Head of Carstensz Peace Operations 2023, Chief Commissioner of Police (Kombes Pol) Faizal Ramadhani in his statement confirmed that the case had been transferred.
The three suspected suppliers of firearms to KST Papua have indeed been handed over to the Wamena District Attorney by investigators since June 7, 2023. Not only the suspects, but the investigators also contributed a number of pieces of evidence to the cases that ensnared them.
Furthermore, during the investigation process that was carried out by the security forces, it turned out that the three suspects had admitted their actions, so that after they confessed, the filing process was declared complete and had been accepted by the Jayawijaya Attorney’s Office.
It is always the case that various kinds of incidents which are very concerning have occurred in the easternmost province of Indonesia. There have been many cases of violence, cruelty, cruelty and savagery committed by Papuan separatist and terrorist groups, including the kidnapping and hostage-taking of the Susi Air Pilot, Captain Philip Mark Mehrtens, then there were also several incidents which resulted in the death of security forces on the ground and It also happened that some of the civilians died, some of them were injured and the destruction of various public facilities was carried out by the group.
So far, in fact, the handling of all the conflicts that occurred in Papua has been optimally and optimally carried out and endeavored by various parties, such as the central government, local regional governments (Pemda) to joint security personnel consisting of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Police Republic of Indonesia (Polri) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) itself absolutely does not want human rights violations to occur, so that the entire process of handling the conflict on Cenderawasih Earth was carried out in the realm of law enforcement, not by military force.
Indeed, this country should no longer tolerate KST Papua so that they can act continuously and act as they please, they can continue to freely behave inhumanely by killing and spreading terror in the midst of local people’s lives which are actually full of peace.
Therefore, so that the separatist and terrorist gangs in Bumi Cenderawasih no longer carry out their actions arbitrarily, of course the state must immediately be able to act or act very decisively by continuing to uphold the law indiscriminately.
With the legal firmness imposed by the Government of Indonesia in the context of cracking down on KST Papua, the casualties from various groups, such as the local community itself to the security forces and joint personnel, will no longer continue to fall. Of course, the firmness of the state must be able to act in a measurable manner as well.
This decisive and measured action from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia must be carried out as soon as possible in order to stop all acts of murder and also terror which are being carried out by these separatist and terrorist groups to terrorize civilians in Papua. all of them must be brought before the legal process to be held accountable for all acts of armed violence that they have committed so far.
As very clear evidence of the firmness of law enforcement carried out by the Government of Indonesia and the state to really try to stop all the terror that has been carried out by KST Papua, as well as concrete evidence of how the state exists to actually take action against all separatism in Indonesia, then the suppliers of firearms for these gangs have been arrested and are now immediately handed over to the District Attorney to conduct the trial process.
