Very high appreciation should be given for the very firm and measured actions of the security forces of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) against the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) in Yahukimo which has intensified their various kinds of heinous actions.
A shootout occurred between security forces from the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST), in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountain Province. It is known that as many as 5 (five) members of the gang died in the firefight.
Regarding this matter, the Head of Public Relations of the Regional Police (Kabid Humas Polda) Papua, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo said that the five bodies of the Papuan KST members have now been evacuated after a gunfight occurred between them and security personnel. TNI.
For your information, this incident occurred in Kali Brasa, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency on Thursday, September 14 2023 at around 14:50 Eastern Indonesia Time (WIT) and now all the bodies have been evacuated to the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Approached for an autopsy.
In this incident, security forces from joint TNI and Indonesian National Police (Polri) personnel also found a number of pieces of evidence, including 2 (two) firearm magazines (senpi), then 4 (four) bullets and several other items belonging to personal.
All the confiscated evidence has now been secured at the Yahukimo Resort Police (Polres) so that further investigation can be carried out. Indeed, the security forces themselves will clearly continue to carry out various kinds of firm law enforcement efforts against KST Papua, who in recent months have continued to intensify their armed actions in Yahukimo.
The National Police, assisted by the TNI, continue to emphasize their strong commitment to continue to be consistent in carrying out maximum law enforcement efforts against anyone who commits criminal acts indiscriminately, especially if it comes from terrorist gangs on Earth of Cenderawasih.
Several other atrocious incidents that were carried out by KST Papua themselves also occurred on August 6 2023, namely at the KPU Yahukimo Office, Papua Mountain Province. There are strong suspicions that the arson carried out at the KPU was the work of the separatist gang.
Then there was another series of atrocities that KST Papua continued to carry out, namely that they tried to shoot a resident in the Dekai District, on August 11 2023. Luckily at that time the gun they were about to shoot failed to fire so the victim managed to escape to his house. .
As a result of the shooting attempt which was intensified by separatist and terrorist gangs in the easternmost province in Indonesia, the joint security forces succeeded in arresting up to 3 (three) people who were the perpetrators and continued to disturb the residents.
There was another incident that showed how barbaric KST Papua was, namely on August 21 2023, which resulted in a marine having to die after the separatist gang attacked the Mobile Border Security Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) Yon 7 Marine Post.
Then, on Thursday, August 24 2023, in the early hours of the morning, 3 (three) government offices burned down in Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Mountainous Papua Province, where it is also strongly suspected that the perpetrator was from KST Papua.
The existence of legal enforcement efforts as well as firm and measurable actions taken by the security forces themselves are also strongly supported by all communities throughout the country. This is reflected in the data from the Populi Center survey which shows that the community continues to encourage and assess that firm steps from the security forces are very necessary to be able to eradicate the existence of KST Papua as soon as possible.
Regarding the survey results, Populi Center researcher, Rafif Pamenang Imawan, explained that 80.5 percent of the public answered that very firm and measurable action was really needed. Then, when detailed further, 33.2 percent of respondents answered that it was very necessary to take firm action, and 48.2 percent of respondents answered that it was necessary.
Not only that, but the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Wapres RI), KH Ma’ruf Amin also asked all members of the security apparatus from joint TNI and Polri personnel to take firm and measured attitudes and actions towards KST Papua.
Of course, the firefight that occurred between the security forces and KST Papua in Yahukimo resulted in 5 (five) members of their group dying on the spot. This is one of a series of firm actions taken by the security forces, for which this deserves very high appreciation.
