ASN Clean from Online Gambling Becomes Government Priority in 2025

JAKARTA – The government continues to demonstrate its seriousness in creating a clean government free from online gambling practices.
Minister of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), Meutya Hafid, emphasized the importance of running the government according to President Prabowo Subianto’s direction, namely free from manipulation, efficient, and with integrity.
In the inauguration of new officials at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Meutya asked all employees to uphold these values in every step they take.
According to Meutya, President Prabowo’s message emphasized the integrity of the government, by avoiding all forms of collusion or other fraudulent practices.
He reminded that every rupiah that comes from the people’s money must be used effectively for the benefit of the nation.
Meutya also emphasized the importance of collaboration and solidarity among Kemenkomdigi employees to carry out this task.
“I am sure that with integrity, hard work, and high dedication, we can carry out this mandate well,” he said.
One of the concrete steps taken by the Ministry of Communication and Digital is the signing of an integrity fact that marks a commitment to maintaining a work environment free from the influence of online gambling.
Meutya emphasized that this step was not merely ceremonial, but a real form of determination to create a clean and transparent bureaucracy.
In North Kalimantan, Governor Zainal A. Paliwang also emphasized that ASN in his region must be free from online gambling and drug practices.
At the first rally in 2025, he gave a strong warning to all employees, both ASN and non-ASN, to stay away from this bad influence.
“Once again, I’m not playing around. If anyone is caught involved in drugs or online gambling, I will fire them immediately!” Zainal said firmly in front of hundreds of employees.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Human Rights (Menteri HAM), Natalius Pigai, inaugurated 56 echelon II and III officials of the Ministry of HAM some time ago.
In his speech, Pigai emphasized the importance of morality and integrity for the newly appointed officials.
“I am 99.99 percent an echelon II, III, IV employee in this ministry, I am one of those who come from the Directorate General of Human Rights, an internal employee,” said Pigai.
This, according to him, is proof of the ministry’s commitment to utilizing human resources from within to strengthen the institution’s performance.
Pigai also gave strict instructions to all inaugurated officials to uphold ethical and anti-corruption values.
He reminded that officials must maintain public trust through strong integrity.
“No online gambling. I have issued a presidential instruction, no online gambling, no online gambling plus offline gambling. No. If anyone plays online gambling, get out, remove them,” he said.
This statement confirms the government’s commitment to eradicating all forms of gambling involving state officials.
