Papua – The formation of regional divisions or provinces in Cenderawasih Earth through the enactment of a government decree forming the New Autonomous Region (DOB) of Papua aims to bring public services closer so that they can be far more optimal and maximally accessible to all people in the Land of Papua.
Of course, there will be a lot of positive impacts from every policy implemented by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), because indeed the basis for making these policies has gone through a series of in-depth studies from experts. Apart from that, of course the government is definitely trying to do what is best for the nation and the state and all people in the country.
Moreover, during the era of the leadership of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who had a very strong commitment to being able to create equitable development in all corners of the archipelago without exception, even stated that he would prioritize the Land of Papua for development.
According to the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Wapres RI), KH Ma’ruf Amin, with efforts to expand the region through the formation of a New Autonomous Region (DOB) in Cenderawasih Earth, it will certainly bring services closer to the welfare of all people in Indonesia’s easternmost province.
Not without reason, the article is that so far public services for the people in Papua itself can be said to be quite far away, because if people want or want to experience these public services, they have to go to the city center first, so that will obviously be very inconvenient.
However, since the division of the region through the New Guinea New Guinea launched by the Government during the era of President Joko Widodo’s leadership, now in every new province formed, all of them already have their own offices and public service centers, so that it will make it easier for the community to afford.
The strong commitment of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia is certainly not a joke at all because the government itself has paid very serious attention, namely by presenting regional expansion in the form of a New Autonomous Region there. The great hope is that after the division of the region will of course also make all the affairs of the community easier, especially when it comes to experiencing or managing public services.
Also included, with the expansion of the area, it will be increasingly able to increase the welfare of all people in Cenderawasih Earth because it is proven by the presence of the Papua New Guinea, now PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) has also made a real contribution and active role from them in how to develop human resources (HR) in the Land of Papua, namely with the establishment of the Nemangkawi Mining Institute (IPN).
The presence of IPN itself is also a concrete manifestation of their alignment with efforts to further improve the investment climate for a highly reliable and professional workforce. Then, through activities at NMI, qualifications for indigenous Papuan (OAP) workers have been proven to have a wide variety of reliable skills and knowledge to be able to continue to support the company’s performance so that it will be even more optimal in the future.
As a form of serious efforts to improve the welfare of the people of Papua, the Mimika Regency Government (Pemkab) also plays an active role in paying attention to what the original Papuan workforce (OAP) is like in the Employment Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) scheme.
It cannot be denied that in fact the Land of Papua itself has a wealth of natural resources (SDA) which is truly very abundant. Therefore, with this abundant wealth, it should be directly proportional to the increase in welfare for the community.
President Jokowi continues to make various efforts and breakthroughs to increase the welfare of the people of Cenderawasih Earth. Including how he has stepped foot directly to come and visit Papuans dozens of times.
In each of his visits, the Head of State himself always emphasizes and conveys important messages related to regional development and the welfare of the people on Cenderawasih Earth. It can even be said that he is a leader who has been most concerned about the Land of Papua and its people.
There are lots of policies that have been set, where the latest policy from the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia is regarding how the government’s decision to carry out regional expansion in several provinces in Papua, through the existence of the New Autonomous Region (DOB), so that now Bumi Cenderawasih itself already has as many as 6 six) provinces.
Of the many programs and decisions that have been stipulated by the Government, especially since the era of President Jokowi’s leadership, public services are now very optimal and can be enjoyed very equally by all members of the indigenous Papuan community (OAP).
