Officials Continue to Optimally Eradicate KST for the Security of the Papuan People

KST is a separatist organization that disturbs the security of Papuans. KST should have been eradicated so as not to disturb the community. Members of the TNI and Polri to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) are working hard to eradicate KST so that they cannot terrorize residents in Cendrawasih Land.
Papua in the era of President Jokowi’s government continues to be developed so that it is more advanced and not inferior to other provinces. The special autonomy program was continued and modernization continued. The results include the Youtefa Bridge, the Trans Papua Road, and so on. It’s a shame that the exoticism of Papua which is already modernism has never been considered by KST. They still carry out attacks, especially against civilians.
KST continued to carry out attacks and resulted in injuries, even fatalities. Therefore, the joint apparatus from the TNI and POLRI continues to be on standby in the context of eradicating KST. They are on alert for the security of Papuans.
Recently, joint TNI-Polri officers shot dead 3 members of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Puncak District, Central Papua. The action was marred by gunfire between officers and KKB members.
Head of Public Relations of the Papuan Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, stated that when he received information that a motorcycle taxi driver had been shot dead by the KKB, the TNI and Polri officers immediately gave chase, until finally there was a shootout in Mundidok Village, Puncak Regency, Wednesday 22 March 2023.
Benny explained that this action was carried out after the shooting of a motorcycle taxi driver in the Ilaga District. Finally, the TNI-Polri officers immediately carried out aerial monitoring using drones. Not long after that, the authorities found a group of KKB allegedly numbering 20 people. They were seen carrying 2 firearms (senpi).
When monitoring through aerial observation, it was seen that around 20 people carrying 2 firearms were crossing from Mundidok Village towards Kimak Village, which then immediately took firm action against the group so that gunfire occurred.
After the exchange of fire occurred, the apparatus conducted a search around the location and found a member of the KKB named Enius Tabuni (22). Enius is believed to have died as a result of being shot by the security forces.
Members of the Police also found 3 5.56 MM caliber rifles, 1 5.56 MM caliber ammunition shell, 2 Nokens, 1 motorcycle key and 2 packs of cigarettes at the location of the shooting. In the gun battle, none of our members were injured or killed.
The apparatus continues to eradicate KST for the safety of the people. The reason is because when they have carried out an attack, in a few days there will be a follow-up attack. Therefore, the Puncak Regency area is strictly guarded by the apparatus so that the community is safe and does not become a victim of KST.
The Cartenz Peace Task Force as a team specifically formed to eradicate KST is increasingly diligent in conducting patrols. The task force, which consists of members of the TNI and Polri, usually patrols Puncak District, because it is still prone to conflict there. The community must be guarded until there is a KST attack which can cause injuries, even fatalities.
Apart from that, the Carstensz Peace Task Force is also looking for any KST headquarters, because they don’t only have 1 base. If you have found it, it will be easy to catch it because there are many KST members gathering there. They can be caught and put in prison, so that they will no longer disturb the community.
Deputy V KSP (Presidential Staff Office) for Law, Security and Human Rights Jaleswari Pamodhowardani explained that KST was very brutal, therefore the apparatus had to act and thoroughly enforce the law on KST.
Jaleswari added that KST deserved to be arrested because they disturbed civil society. They also damaged public facilities and health facilities. Finally, KST had the heart to attack medical personnel in Kiwirok and caused casualties, even though at that time he was on duty to check the health conditions of the people there. Therefore the arrest of KST by the authorities is fully supported.
The security forces are always on standby in Papua, not to turn it into a military operation area, but to maintain the security of the people on Cendrawasih Land. Apart from the officers who are usually on duty, they were greatly assisted by the Nemangkawi Task Force, which was specially deployed to hunt down KST members. The members of the Task Force are the best sons of the nation who are willing to go on a guerrilla journey into the jungle to defend their country.
The Carstensz Peaceful Task Force went down directly to look for the KST headquarters, because they were guerrillas to the middle of the wilderness and mountains. Papua’s geographical conditions which are still green are favorable for them to hide. They had to be very careful to find the KST headquarters, especially since there wasn’t just one base, but many and scattered around.
In the press release of the Cartenz Damai Peace Task Force, it was stated that the joint team of TNI and Polri succeeded in mapping the hiding places of KST members. The location is not only in Intan Jaya, but also in Iwika, Mimika and other areas. With this mapping, the arrest will be more structured and it is predicted to be 100% successful.
The joint TNI and Polri officers were assigned to assist the Cartenz Damai Task Force in the arrest of KST. The goal is to ensure the security of residents is really maintained. Don’t let KST escape and shoot civilians and another tragedy occurs because of the many victims.
The combined TNI Polri apparatus together with the Cartenz Peace Task Force are trying to continue to eradicate KST for the security of the Papuan people. They are trying to find KST so that the separatist group is disbanded and will no longer frighten residents.
