The Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) is believed to be the main mastermind behind the burning of residents’ houses that occurred in Dogiyai Regency, Papua, on May 22, 2022. The community supports Apkam to take firm action against the existence of the Papuan KST to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
KST is a source of conflict for the Papuan people and its existence always causes trauma and suffering. Victims of KST are also not only security forces but also civilians, so it is natural that KST is hated by the Papuan people, both on Earth of Cendrawasih and in other areas.
It is indicated that KST burned the houses of residents in Dogiyai Regency. Kompol Bambang Suranggono, the Dogiyai Police Chief stated that there was a burning of a resident’s house in Dogiyai on May 22, 2022. One hundred residents eventually fled to the Dogiyai TNI-Polri Post.
The community spontaneously criticized KST’s actions because they had the heart to burn down people’s houses. Even though it is clear that the owner is a native Papuan who in fact is a relative of his own tribe. KST’s heinous action certainly violated human rights and the gang was proven not to have taken into account the material losses of the residents who lost their homes.
For a long time, KST has popularized the call to create the Federal Republic of West Papua, but they have actually harmed society and become public enemies. How can they govern a country if they can only carry out brutal means that are full of cruelty such as fire? This tragic event is certainly dangerous because it can cause fatalities.
KST needs to be dealt with firmly because this is not the first time they have set fire to a resident’s house. They also burned school buildings and damaged various other properties. These actions are considered criminal crimes, so it is natural that KST should be hunted down and exterminated from the root.
The hunt for KST continues because they have also repeatedly committed premeditated murder. Those who were attacked were not only security forces but also civilians who certainly did not have the tools to defend themselves against attacks. KST has violated the limits of humanity and must be given the proper recompense.
To catch KST, hunting is carried out to remote areas of Papua because they move from place to place and have many hidden bases. TNI and Polri troops, continue to hunt down where the KST members are hiding and they will be arrested and imprisoned. The joint forces of the TNI and Polri are always eager to apprehend KST.
Meanwhile, the community was asked to assist the performance of the TNI and Polri troops by becoming informants. When you find out that someone is a KST sympathizer or even an undercover member, don’t hesitate to contact the police station or TNI headquarters. The officers will arrest them quickly and KST can be quickly secured, so as not to disturb the public.
The existence of KST is indeed troubling to the community, so don’t hesitate to become an informant. Remember that KST has repeatedly hurt people’s feelings by burning property and brutally killing many people, even though the victims are also Papuans. Don’t be indifferent to the environment but beware, lest there be KST there.
KST’s atrocities by burning people’s houses are out of bounds because this is not the first time this has happened. Therefore, KST must be crushed so that it no longer disturbs the community with its cruelty.
