Jakarta – The Regulation in lieu of the Job Creation Law (Perpu Ciptaker) has been officially signed by President Jokowi in 2022. The issuance of the Perpu Ciptaker can have an impact on expanding employment opportunities for the community.
Perpu Ciptaker contains content material that is full of national interests. The layoffs after the Covid-19 pandemic forced the government to issue this Perpu Ciptaker. The reason is that the Perpu Ciptaker is able to create jobs for the Indonesian people.
Deputy Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor revealed in a discussion held at the Moya Institute, Friday (3/3/2023), the issuance of this Perpu Ciptaker is very important to help the community in providing jobs for prospective job applicants.
“Indonesia itself still needs quality job creation, because it has an ever-increasing number of workforce. Especially with the COVID-19 pandemic so that more and more people are experiencing unemployment. Therefore, it is important to issue the Job Creation Perpu,” he said in a written statement, Friday (3/3/2023).
Apart from that, according to him, with the issuance of this Perpu Cipaker, Indonesia can survive and provide guarantees against the global uncertainties that are currently being experienced.
As is known, According to the latest World Bank report, the global economy has almost fallen into recession. For this reason, the government is trying to anticipate the economic turmoil that the world is currently experiencing.
“With the Perppu Ciptaker, it is able to help strengthen the fundamentals of the national economy to continue to maintain competitiveness. With the high uncertainty of the world economy, it continues to encourage us to be able to adapt to change,” said the Deputy Manpower.
On the other hand, UGM Professor of Business Law, Prof. Nindyo Pramono stated that the Job Creation Perpu was formed because of a juridical interest that cannot be separated from a coercive crisis.
“The world is currently facing a lot of disruptions, this is the long-lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including climate change and the wars between Russia and Ukraine. So to be able to deal with all these conditions, the government issued the Job Creation Perpu,” he said.
Meanwhile, Political Observer, Emrus Sihombing, is of the opinion that the establishment of this Perpu Ciptaker provides many benefits to many parties, both the community and the state.
“So it is not an exaggeration if it is considered that this Perppu on Job Creation is one of the answers to create people’s welfare in the economic field,” he concluded.
