Key Political Figures for Creating a Democratic Party to Protect the Unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia

Political figures have a very important role, because they are the key to being able to realize and jointly oversee the implementation of the democratic party, namely in the upcoming 2024 elections to be able to continue to maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and prevent divisions between communities, so that contestation can run safely , peaceful and conducive.
The Democracy Party through General Elections (Elections) which has been scheduled for 2024 is one of the political contestations that should be maintained together. Not only the community and security forces, but the key to all of this integrity lies in political figures, especially those who are participating. Regarding this matter, through a meeting of the two party representatives, namely PDIP and Democrats which was attended by Puan Maharani and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), both agreed to create a peaceful 2024 election that would bring joy to all groups.
Puan Maharani as chairman of the DPR RI as one of the representatives of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) said that now we have to understand together how to build a nation that is not only a matter of practical politics, but also important to know that the world of politics is very dynamic. thus requiring intense communication between political parties. Apart from that, he also added that there is something more important, namely, regarding our mutual agreement to make the 2024 Election a peaceful and joyful people’s party, uniting and maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Responding to the meeting of the two opposing but harmonious parties, one of the observers, Ujang Komarudin as the Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Review (IPR), said that the political communication seen at the meeting resulted in a nation’s agreement not to be divided, to unite and to be maintained. This means that the closeness between the two political party elites will clearly create a peaceful situation in the 2024 elections which their supporters will also participate in.
Meanwhile, still related to the agenda for the meeting that took place between Puan Maharani and AHY, the PDI Perjuangan Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto also explained that the agenda was a series of dialogues between the two figures from representatives of the two major political parties in Indonesia which were carried out constructively.
It is undeniable that the existence of constructive dialogue in the future will also be very useful and have a positive impact on the sustainability of the nation in the future, because it has proven that there is still wide open space for communication between the two parties who actually have different political views.
This can also be an example that can be captured by the public, that even though they have different views in determining their political choices, it should be able to be understood as something that is very natural to happen, especially since Indonesia itself is also a country that adheres to and upholds the principle of democracy, so that even though they are different, all parties should still be able to maintain harmony and togetherness because the goal is to build the nation.
Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Teuku Riefky Harsya also explained the same thing, that even though the PDI Perjuangan and the Democrats had different political views, in fact the meeting between Puan and AHY was able to become a strong foundation to be able to prevent social divisions.
On the same occasion, the National Mandate Party (PAN) also voiced its open mind regarding the 2024 Election. Together with the students, Gus Qodir as the administrator of the Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) as well as the Probolinggo Regency DPD DPD Expert Council said that these students have a big responsibility especially in maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. According to him, all levels of society must work together to safeguard the benefit of the nation and state, especially ahead of the 2024 General Election.
Even though in the coming political year there will be many competing parties, this can be used as a healthy competition without the need to become enemies or separate from one another. It is normal to have different opinions, these differences are expected to stick to Pancasila, which is the basis of the Indonesian state.
Apart from that, in the 2024 elections which are open in nature, many political dynamics will occur later. Therefore, the Chairperson of the Yogyakarta PDI Perjuangan DPC, Eko Suwanto reminded the public to be aware of several threats that might occur and have the potential to divide the nation, one of which is hoax or fake news, hate speech, politicization, sara, and others. so on which has a negative context. In order to maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, he also advised that currently he is fighting to win, but don’t forget to continue to hold elections that are dignified and cultured.
In order to be able to continuously maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, it is very natural that political figures in Indonesia themselves are the main key, in particular they are role models for people in the country to be able to realize and oversee the implementation of democratic parties in a safe, peaceful and conducive manner.
