The General Election Commission (KPU) as the organizer of the Regional Chief Election (Pilkada) Serentak 2024 continues to encourage the entire community to make improvements to the voter data to ensure the validity and accuracy of the data.
By guaranteeing the validity of voter data, it is one of the most important measurements for the high quality of democracy and the successful implementation of the 2024 Pilkada.
Therefore, as an organizer, the KPU continues to encourage the entire community to take an active part in improving and updating the data, especially reporting when their families are updated so that the voter data in the 2024 Pilkada title remains valid.
The hard work of the General Election Commission, one of which is reflected in how the implementation of the plenary meeting that the KPU district of Paser has undertaken to carry out recapitulations on the Electoral Results List (DPHP) and also the establishment of the List of Provisional Electors. (DPS).
The regional secretary (Sekda) of Paser district, Katsul Wijaya gave a very high appreciation because it turned out that all parties were actively involved in the effort, including the filing of the voter list.
By the way, with the presence of input and updates from all those parties, then all the KPU data will be guaranteed its validity, because with the existence of valid and accurate voter data becomes an important instrument of the quality of the democratic process even becomes a measure for the success of Pilkada 2024.
Since this is still in the phase of the Provisional Voter List (DPS) then all officials should play a pro-active role in giving input to the public so that they promptly make corrections to all data that is not in line with the voter data.
Thus, when the public is actively involved in updating the data, it is increasingly minimizing the potential risk of citizens who actually already have the right to vote but at the time of election they are not able to exercise their right of vote at all or difficulties in granting the right.
The participation of all the elements of the community, including the organizers of the Election of the Head of the District, until the participants and the supervisors are one unity that can be part of the successful Pilkada 2024.
If we are together in monitoring every stage of the Election of the District Chief, from the phase of the voter list to the completion of the poll, then when the spirit of unity and unity continues to wake up, it is not impossible to realize the title of the 2024 Pilkada Unientak that is peaceful, secure, calm and conducive.
It is true that in the stage of updating voter data (Mutarlih), then the active participation of all the elements of the community is an important thing to check his participation as a voter in the Election of the Head of the District.
The Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Rembang district, M Ika Iqbal Fahmi explained that checking can be done on the website online by entering the Family Mother Number (NIK). If, for example, they are not registered, then they can directly contact the nearest PPS or PPK and can also directly to the KPU.
For the establishment of the Provisional Voter List, the Improvement Results (DPSHP) takes place in collaboration between all parties including the Election Supervisory Authority (Bawaslu) either at the village level or the municipality level, then at the district level. All these efforts are ongoing to generate quality voter data, especially the title of the 2024 Unitary Pilkada.
KPU RI Commissioner, Idham Holik explained that with the active participation of the entire society in Pilkada Serentak 2024, then this has just demonstrated how good the quality of democracy of Indonesia including the high electoral integrity.
Thus, the organizers of the Election of the District Chief continue to work to ensure that the quality of democracy in the country can continue to be improved, which is one of the ways is by continuing to maintain the level of public participation.
As a matter of information, active participation on its own is actually not enough if it’s just a momentary one like the people give their votes on the day of the poll. But more than that, all the people should be able to follow every step of Pilkada.
As long as the people have a good electoral enthusiasm, then it is not impossible that the quality of democracy in Indonesia will continue to improve, because the key is unity because the title of a local democratic party is also a great aspiration of the country.
In addition to active participation, the quality of democracy is also closely linked to public confidence in the organizers of Pilkada. To guarantee that, the KPU has a strong commitment to always embody the whole value of integrity in all its orders.
Because, with good electoral integrity, it is usually the judgment of whether or not the elections of the District Chief in the middle of the community are successful.
It is not surprising why the organizer of the Pilkada Serentak 2024, the KPU, continues to encourage the entire population to participate actively in the entire phase of the regional level democracy party, including improving voter data and updating to ensure its validity.
