Program Stop Defecating Carelessly (BABS) performed by the DEPARTMENT of health (Health Office) Barito Timur (Bartim), province of Central Kalimantan, run a positive.
The goal of the program BABS is to make awareness of would be the importance of sanitation and empowerment.
Environmental Health Program Manager (Kesling) Health Office Bartim, Puji Astuti, in that program, a goal to be achieved is directing society analysis of problems on its own territory, and then run the stages of planning, implementation of sanitation, construction monitoring, evaluation, and utilization of mutual care.
Application of optimizing the empowerment program, they are proactive in run the role of health workers that are to stimulate participation and public awareness related to the importance of the application of clean and Healthy Living Behaviours (PHBS) as supporting daily activities.
In addition, technical also continues to promote the village already declared activities in order to become an example for other villages in the vicinity. It aims to transmit positive habits to other community.
“We want environmental awareness and the application of clean healthy living behaviors make healthy Bartim communities,” he said.
Although there are still many villages that have not been declared Stop BABS, Puji added, but her side will not cease doing coaching program and empowerment.
