Appreciating Ex-Members of the Muslim Khilafatul Pledge Loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Pancasila

Many members of the former Khilafatul Muslimin have repented and pledged allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and Pancasila. With this pledge of allegiance, it is hoped that it can inspire other group members to do the same, so that they can synergize to prevent radicalism.
The parade while distributing brochures by members of the Khilafatul Muslimin opened the eyes of the public to the fact that there are radical organizations that are openly pro-caliphate. After the video footage of the parade went viral, the security forces conducted an investigation into the mass organization and it was immediately put on the blacklist. Its leader (Abdul Qadir Baradja) was also immediately arrested by Densus 88 Anti-terror.
After Baradja’s arrest, another search was conducted and it turned out that Khilafatul Muslimin already had many branches in Indonesia, although some of them had inactive branches. This is a strong warning because radical mass organizations are secretly spreading and must be eradicated.
Khilafatul Muslimin is a forbidden mass organization and thankfully now many of its members have repented. As many as 4 members of the Muslim Khilafatul in Singkawang, West Kalimantan, read the pledge of allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia and Pancasila. With this pledge, they are officially out of the Khilafatul Muslimin.
After taking their vows, the former members of the mass organizations admitted that they would assist the government in eradicating radicalism and other teachings that contradict Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. This is certainly very good because they repent, admit their mistakes, and participate in eradicating radicalism. This teaching must be abolished because it can destroy peace in Indonesia.
One of the former members who made the oath admitted that he was met by the leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin (Abdul Qadir Baradja). He feels normal because he doesn’t know (that Baradja is the head of a banned mass organization). In a sense, Baradja cs has been proven to trick many people into being recruited into their group, and to deceive the public.
Baradja has indeed been imprisoned, but that does not mean that the authorities have stopped investigating the Khilafatul Muslimin. Do not let any of his subordinates spread radicalism, because this mass organization has many branches (which means there are many administrators). Radicalism must be eradicated and the purification of Khilafatul Muslimin members to become anti-radical Indonesian citizens who are loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia must be carried out continuously.
In Sukabumi, members of the Khilafatul Muslimin and their branch leaders also pledged allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Pancasila. The declaration was led by the Head of the Sukabumi Branch of the Khilafatul Muslimin, Ustaz Tedja Mukti. The event was witnessed by the Sukabumi Police Chief, AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah, representatives from the Ministry of Religion, religious scholars, and several officials.
Sukabumi Police Chief, AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah expressed gratitude for the return of members of the Khilafatul Muslimin and Head of its Branch. This will change education that leads to Indonesian nationality and Pancasila. He also monitors whether his national activities are carried out or not.
Ustaz Tedja is an administrator of Ponpes (Pondok Pesantren) Cibuni, Sukabumi. If he declares his pledge of allegiance to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Pancasila, automatically the other students and administrators will also be loyal. His party no longer wants to be involved in radicalism and teaches it at the Islamic Boarding School.
If any Islamic boarding school is caught spreading radicalism, it is certainly dangerous. However, the community is grateful because the management has declared loyalty to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Pancasila, and is aware that radicalism is wrong. There will be national activities that pump up the spirit of nationalism there, as proof that he is truly loyal to Indonesia and repents of radicalism.
It has not been explained what kind of national activities will be carried out at Cibuni Islamic Boarding School. However, the promise of a Ponpes administrator is expected to be kept. Not only because his cottage is under monitoring, but because from the bottom of his heart, he has abandoned radicalism and terrorism. He also invited other members and all in Ponpes to be loyal to the Republic of Indonesia.
Dedy Darmawansyah continued, the public should not be provoked by news that is not yet clear. In a sense, there should be no residents who are interpreted as hoaxes and then accuse the officers of doing nothing. Whereas the leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin Sukabumi Branch himself who purely wanted to pledge to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and Pancasila. He wasn’t forced at all.
If there are many members of the Muslim Khilafatul who pledge allegiance to Pancasila and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, it is very good because they are aware that all this time they have been lost, and have been deceived by the words of the management of these radical organizations. There is no point in being a member of a radical mass organization. They want to return to the motherland’s arms and show their loyalty, by learning more about nationalism and nationalism.
