CIDISS – Indonesia is country with many cultures and ethnics. The diverse make many unique; one of them is culinary ethnic. Every region in Indonesia has own 30.

One of the culinary is Manggala soup, which is culinary ethnic from Pangkalan Bun, Kotawaringin Barat regency, Central Kalimantan Province.

Manggala soup is known by unique in cooking. Manggala soup has cassava in it and crispy cassava. The taste of Manggla soup has tasted by Minister Yosana.

Minister of Women’s Empowerment & Children Protection, Yosana S Yembise, in work visiting to Pangkalan Bun, Kotawaringin Barat regency, and his group visited SMAN 3 Pangkalan. The school achieved Adiwiyata award on 2014.

In that school, Minister who from Papua tasted Manggala soup. Then, she gave testimony “delicious” to the Manggala soup.

“Hmmm… it’s very tasty,” said Minister Yosana while eating the soup which cassava as main ingredient.

Head of SMAN 3 Pangkalan Bun, Sunarsih to Minister of Women’s Empowerment & Children Protection explained that Manggala soup is not only famous known as cassava ingredient but also unique recipe.

“Manggala soup is culinary ethnic from Pangkalan Bun, ingredient and how to make it is unique. Then the taste is also very delicious,” said Sugiarsih.
