Post-Election Unity, Young Children Need to Get Down

Differences will indeed always be present in every moment of democracy, both at the level of the election until the presidential election. However, tolerance must be maintained and applied to mutual respect for people of different choices.
If this tolerance can be demonstrated, then the Indonesian people have shown maturity in choosing democratic leaders.
In this case young people certainly have a role in the political sphere, one of which is to maintain a sense of unity after the polarization that occurred during the Presidential Election drama.
Moreover, the Constitutional Court has issued an indisputable decision, namely the victory for candidate number 01 Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin who will lead Indonesia for the next 5 years.
However, there are still parties who cannot act legally towards the decisions of the Constitutional Court and KPU, so that the attitude of attacking arguments still occurs with the aim of dropping each other.
The breakdown of the two camps certainly cannot be separated from the various issues exhaled, starting from the Awakening of the PKI, Indonesia became extinct until Jokowi’s English language problems, which were considered mediocre, also became an inexhaustible material that was fried and spread massively.
The split between the two camps was also inseparable from the challengers who made their own version of the survey, at which time Prabowo said that he and Sandiaga were 62 percent, but the data from the KPU said differently.
The community was also made angry, when they wanted to know where the data was taken, what method was used. However, the BPN did not explain at all about the survey technique used.
On the other hand, the BPN also still provoked provocative news that gave birth to fears, such as Indonesia’s statement Disbanded.
Young people certainly have a role in maintaining unity after the election drama is finished, because with the easier access to information through the internet, young people who in fact are the most internet users in Indonesia have an important role in maintaining a sense of post-election unity.
Concretely, a sense of unity does not give birth to hatred or hostility, it may be possible to occasionally argue or say disagreement, but that does not mean that differences in choices and beliefs make it difficult for us to unite.
If we are born together breathing air in Indonesia, then why are we hostile just because of differences in choice, then why are we shouting takbir that accompanies acts of provocation that disturb many parties?
Young people have unlimited energy, namely creativity, that energy should be used optimally in campaigning for unity in Indonesia.
Just imagine, we know that Persija and Persib fans have indeed been reported to be mutually hostile when their favorite team meets in the Indonesian league, but when the Indonesian national team competes, the entire community including the jack and viking will both wear the garuda uniform without questioning whether you are the jack or viking.
One of the concrete steps that can be taken is to stop asking “who did you choose yesterday?” As usual, who certainly remains critical on the basis of caring about Indonesia, not critical because it is provoked by news that is truthful.
Young people have a role in ending the presidential drama, at least in their closest environment, invite friends back who were different choices, treat coffee if necessary, or invite Nobar when there is a soccer match. The involvement of many people in the same hobby will certainly distract the difference in choice.
To be sure, be aware that the Jokowi camp is preparing to discuss a cabinet that will help it in the second period. Whereas the Prabowo camp is trying to be a resident of the Constitutional Court’s decision that was unable to shift the incumbent’s position from the presidency.
Young people do not need to be afraid of threats that have been heralded, if young people have creativity, being sure to make money is easier than looking for work.
Busy – busy while young, political drama related to the Presidential Election should have ended and enough to become a historical record of democratic learning.
No need to take to the streets just to join in, maintaining harmony and unity with fellow citizens has become one of the ways to reduce sad stories in Indonesia.
