Jakarta — The government has once again proven its commitment to making health a basic right for all Indonesian people. One proof is the success of the Free Health Check (CKG) program which has been utilized by more than 9 million citizens in just a few months since its launch.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who was present to review the implementation of CKG at Sempol Health Center, Bondowoso Regency, said that the figure was strong evidence that this program was welcomed with high enthusiasm from the community and was running according to expectations.

“Currently, there are approximately nine million people who have used this facility. So, I see this as quite good,” said Vice President Gibran.

Not only providing medical treatment, this program is a new milestone for the national health system that is oriented towards prevention or early detection, a modern approach that is believed to be able to reduce the burden of health costs and extend people’s life expectancy.

“This is one of the priority programs, the flagship of President Prabowo. It is very important for early detection, so as not to wait until you are sick. This will increase life expectancy in the future,” explained Gibran.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that the program was running massively and the response was extraordinary. In fact, as many as 7.8 million residents had taken part in health checks until early June, with daily additions reaching 200 thousand people.

“Every day, 200 thousand Indonesians undergo free health checks. Next month, a similar program will begin for school children with a target of 50 million participants,” said Health Minister Budi.

The CKG program is real evidence that the state is present, not only in big cities, but also in remote areas. The government does not want any citizen to miss out on health services simply because of limited funds or access. With CKG, people no longer need to wait until they are seriously ill to receive services, they can simply come to the nearest health facility and be examined thoroughly, free of charge.

Through this step, the government is getting closer to the people and realizing a healthier, more equal, and more just Indonesia, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s grand vision in building the future of the nation.***
