Ahead of the Inauguration of PYCH, PMI Intensifies the Improvement of the Welfare of the Papuan People
Ahead of the inauguration of the Papua Youth Creative Hub ( PYCH ) Building which will soon be held by President Joko Widodo, Inspiring Young Papua ( PMI ) continues to intensify improvements in the welfare of all people in Papua with their various programs, including increasing food security.
The government’s efforts to balance development from the west to the east of Indonesia are starting to show. Not only discourse, this equity has now provided benefits to the local community. In the eastern part of Indonesia, in Papua to be precise, the government is promoting infrastructure development that improves people’s welfare.
This is done by opening up regional isolation and increasing access and connectivity, both land and multimodal. As a result, Papua now has roads, bridges, settlements and public facilities that are no less than those in big cities. Moreover, in the future, infrastructure development in Papua will also be accompanied by equity and improvement in the quality of human resources (HR).
This is because quality human resources can assist in the proper management of natural resources in Papua. That way, the welfare of the local community can increase. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that there is still a lot of potential for quality human resources in Papua that has not been explored and developed. Therefore, Jokowi is building a PYCH facility which is expected to become a driving force as well as a center for developing human resources, especially young talents, in Papua.
The facility is a center for the development of young talent which is projected to be a place to gather outstanding young Papuan human resources from various disciplines. Through PYCH , the government hopes that local youth can contribute to reducing unemployment and poverty.
Ahead of the inauguration of the PYCH Building by President Joko Widodo in the near future, a lot of preparations have been made to welcome this and show how enthusiastic the young people in Bumi Cenderawasih are.
Of course, all preparations leading up to the inauguration were also initiated by PMI which is a youth organization under the direct guidance of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) . Several preparations were made in order to welcome the inauguration, namely the appearance of a choir performed by young people who were members of a choir group (padus) from church youth and students.
Not only that, but PMI will also make PYCH a label in all types of derivative products or processed corn products from the crops of the people they foster. Recently, PMI has continued to intensify programs in the agricultural sector as an effort to continue to improve the welfare of all people and at the same time maintain food security in Cenderawasih Earth.
Regarding this matter, PMI Jayapura Coordinator, Daud Edison Yarisetouw explained that their crops would be purchased by CV Tripilar Perkasa to be used as chicken feed. Then the chicken feed product will be packaged using the PYCH label.
He added that the harvest was carried out together , in which the harvest would be carried out in stages, then the corn planting program was intended to improve the welfare of the community.
Furthermore, Daud also stated that PMI, under the guidance of BIN, had prepared all the necessary requirements, starting from processing the corn fields to how to distribute the corn yields. Everything has been prepared from upstream to downstream.
Representing PMI, Daud Edison expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi and also to the Head of BIN, Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan who has provided enormous support and also continues to provide guidance to young Papuans so that they can continue to contribute to accelerating the welfare of society.
Meanwhile, the Acting Regent of Jayapura, Triwarno invited young people to join together with PMI to do positive and productive things to provide benefits to the community. Not only from the Central Government and BIN, but also full support from the Regional Government (Pemda) of Jayapura and they hope that similar activities can continue to be developed.
It is indeed very important that there is an even distribution of development, including that there will also be an equal distribution of social and economic status to all Indonesian people, even including those in Papua. In an effort to do this, the Government then built the PYCH Building which will soon be inaugurated to be able to continue to improve the quality of young human resources in Papua. The function of the building will be carried out by PMI, which recently has also continued to intensify efforts to improve people’s welfare with their program.
