Indonesia as the host of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) 2024 is expected to not only hold the event well but also provide concrete and maximum results and impacts. The government must also be able to show that Indonesia has real actions in managing its vast water resources. Therefore, joint efforts need to be made by all parties to make the WWF 2024 event a success until the event is finished.
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) encourages the active role and contribution of national and international media to contribute to the success of the 10th WWF which is currently being held in Bali. Expert Staff to the Minister of PUPR for Technology, Industry and the Environment, Endra S. Atmawidjaja, said that the media is the main actor and an important element in organizing WWF 2024 in Bali. The media is considered as a source that conveys information about the importance of water management for life, as well as what steps Indonesia has taken to manage water.
Endra S. Atmawidjaja asked for full support from the media to continue working with the Government until the WWF process is successful in 2024, so that it is not only successful in holding the World Water Forum, but also benefits from new programs, new projects and new initiatives that are beneficial for management. water in Indonesia and globally.
Holding the 10th WWF in Bali is also very important for Indonesia as a large country to share experiences in overcoming water management challenges and what has been successfully done so that it can show Indonesia’s leadership to the world in seeking real action in resolving water issues. Of course, the Government hopes that from this WWF meeting many Memorandums of Understanding (MoU/cooperation) will be produced to be followed up into new projects in the future.

This is in line with the mission of organizing the 10th World Water Forum which aims to realize water for shared prosperity. The use of appropriate, effective and environmentally friendly technology is also encouraged to create added value and sustainable development so that the benefits of infrastructure can be felt by future generations
WWF 2024 is an international event to promote water missions including maritime affairs, irrigation, environment, sanitation and others. WWF is an international meeting for Indonesia, so according to him it is important to unite the commitment of all parties in making WWF 2024 a success. This is because holding the 10th WWF can provide an opportunity for all stakeholders to get various ideas, practices and the best solutions in facing management challenges. sustainable water resources.

Apart from the government, the private sector also has an important role in supporting the 10th World Water Forum. Companies can contribute through sponsorship, provision of facilities and logistical support. Collaboration between the private sector and government can ensure that all event needs are met properly. Apart from that, private sector involvement can also be a means of demonstrating commitment to environmental issues, especially those related to water resources management.
On the other hand, in order to make the 10th WWF 2024 activities a success which is currently taking place in Bali, ITDC Nusa Dua security has tightened security both at hotels and at venues visited by WWF 2024 participants. Reflecting on the security system for large events such as the G20 which was successful, his party also always coordinated with the TNI-Polri and other security elements. The role of regional villages and levels of society is very important to support and make the WWF 2024 event in Bali a success.
ITDC Nusa Dua Chief Security Officer, I Putu Gede Warga said that there are around 15 hotels that will be used as accommodation for VVIP and VIP guests, and ITDC has also coordinated with the General Manager (GM) and Chief Security of each hotel to improve the security system and the comfort of the delegates, both regarding the people and belongings of the Heads of State and delegates present.
The community must also participate in making this event a success. Public awareness and active participation in maintaining cleanliness and order during the event is very important. Education regarding the importance of clean water and sustainable water management can also be improved through activities involving the community. Thus, the World Water Forum can be a momentum to increase environmental awareness among Indonesian people.
No less important, the scientific community and academics must also take an active role in this forum. Research and innovation in the field of water management must be presented and discussed to find the best solutions to the problems facing many countries. Collaboration between scientists from various countries will enrich discussions and produce more comprehensive recommendations.
It is hoped that with Indonesia’s success as host in holding WWF 2024 in Bali, it can become one of the countries in the world that is able to provide examples and concrete solutions related to handling water problems, as well as increasing innovative ideas, science and knowledge, as well as creative ideas in overcome this problem.
