The Manado Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) is a unifying forum for all young generations in Indonesia, because it is a gathering place for all students regardless of background, making it possible for anyone from any region to join and experience how to live in harmony together within the framework of difference.
Living in harmony even from various backgrounds within the framework of these differences is an excellent means for the nation’s young generation so that they can learn how to be good citizens and be able to apply high tolerance values.
Therefore, the existence of AMN Manado itself is actually a miniature and training for these students so that later they are ready to be involved directly in the society of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) which is also different from each other.
One of the Manado Student Activists, Dwi Purnama, believes that in the sparkling city of Manado, which is one of the centers of life at the northern tip of Indonesia, there is an entity that is capable of enlightening the entire young generation of this nation. This enlightenment was realized in AMN Manado.
This program is not only a forum for activities for students, but also a milestone for the unification of various backgrounds and ideologies. So it is not surprising that the existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory gives these young people the power to unite the entire community.
Even in the midst of cultural, religious and ethnic diversity, AMN Manado embodies the spirit of unity through various things such as dialogue, discussions and social activities.
This creates a very strong sense of brotherhood among all young people who will succeed the nation’s next generation. Not to be missed, the program initiated by the State Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BIN RI) also carried out various other very positive activities.
Some of the activities in the Nusantara Student Dormitory in Manado are seminars, workshops and social actions which continue to provide a space to share ideas, learn and grow together.
All the activities that take place there are aimed at ensuring that what was once the ideal of the founding fathers of the nation can continue to grow together in the hearts of today’s young generation.
Furthermore, it turns out that AMN Manado also has a very important role in building awareness of various social and political issues that continue to be relevant or follow developments so that these young people continue to have an open mind and are able to follow developments that occur in Indonesia and even the world.
This young generation will be able to become a voice for those who are not heard and will also continue to fight for justice, equality and human rights (HAM). Along with a critical and proactive spirit, the initiation program from the institution led by Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan makes young people able to contribute to creating a very positive change for society.
Likewise, the Deputy Chair of the AMN Development Working Group (Wakapokja) from the State Intelligence Agency, Idham Malik, revealed that the main aim of building the Nusantara Student Dormitory was indeed as a forum to unite all students from various regions throughout Indonesia, including those who were not excluded. are Indigenous Papuans (OAP).
So, in this way, it is not impossible that all of them will be able to know and appreciate each other’s culture and continue to maintain harmony and cohesiveness in order to further strengthen relations between the nation’s children within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Director of Strategic Infrastructure at the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Essy Asiah, also said the same thing, that the aim of developing AMN Manado was as a forum to unite students from various ethnicities, languages, cultures and religions. who come from various regions in Indonesia.
Therefore, with the very noble aim of building the Nusantara Student Dormitory in Manado, support from all parties is very important. Moreover, the existence of this building is also one of the infrastructure directives of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
For information, the construction of AMN Manado itself consists of many facilities or facilities and infrastructure that are very adequate and complete, namely towers, meeting buildings, multi-purpose rooms, sports fields, parks, road access and parking areas.
Not only that, but the building has a design that follows state technical development standards as mandated by Government Regulation (PP) Number 16 of 2021 concerning implementing regulations for Law (UU) Number 28 of 2002 concerning buildings.
Of course, all the full support from the Indonesian Government, including the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), has made the development of AMN Manado a success as intended, namely to become a unifying forum for all young generations in Indonesia.
