West Manggarai – Indonesia successfully held the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This success cannot be separated from the role of the TNI-Polri who are ready and alert in securing the 42nd ASEAN Summit.
National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed his gratitude to all ranks of the TNI-Polri who have synergized optimally in order to secure the entire series of ASEAN Summit activities in Labuan Bajo.
“So, first of all we thank all members of the National Police and also the thanks and synergy of the ranks of the TNI,” said the National Police Chief.
He also emphasized that with the synergy between the TNI and Polri, the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo ran smoothly from the day the delegates arrived until the highlight of the event, namely the closing of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.
“So, the whole series runs smoothly, on time, and safely. Including last night the Welcome Dinner series of activities was also completed. I see all heads of state and delegations can really enjoy enjoying the existing atmosphere and enjoying the natural beauty of Labuan Bajo,” said Listyo Sigit.
In addition, the Chief of Staff for the Presidency of the Republic of Indonesia, General TNI (Purn) Moeldoko, appreciated the National Police for securing the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.
“Seeing that the staff and command are extraordinarily good, the staff facilities are all in accordance with operational requirements, the command is also extraordinary,” he said.
The ASEAN Summit has been able to run safely and smoothly so far because a mature strategy has been prepared from the start even before the international event was held.
The entire implementation of the tasks that have been carried out by the ranks of the TNI, Polri and other related stakeholders have gone well.
