So far, the existence of the OPM has really disturbed many parties, not only the security forces, but also all civilians from the area nicknamed Little Heaven that Fell to Earth.
Because of the many heinous and barbaric actions that OPM has carried out, of course there is an obligation for all parties, especially the security forces, to save civilians from the OPM threat, one of which is by carrying out combat operations, which have yielded sweet results in reclaiming the Homeyo District.
Security forces from joint Indonesian National Army (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) personnel from the Nanggala Special Forces Command (Kopassus) Task Force succeeded in seizing the Homeyo District located in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua.
Previously, OPM had occupied the location for three days. However, thanks to combat operations and the great strength of the security forces, this nation has won again in fighting the separatist movement.
Not only was he able to reclaim the Homeyo District from the hands of the terrorist gang, but the Nanggala Kopassus Task Force also succeeded in evacuating civilians there, including evacuating the body of a local resident named Alexander Parapak.
Regarding this matter, Commander of the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) III, Lieutenant General (Letjen) TNI Richard TH Tampubolon revealed that the evacuation operation in the area that was once colonized by the OPM was a humanitarian activity in order to create a regional security situation so that it is always conducive to full support. and the success of the entire process of accelerating Papua’s development by the Government.
For your information, OPM terrorists often carry out very brutal and barbaric actions by shooting at the Homeyo District Sector Police (Polsek) complex, then they burn down an Inpres Elementary School (SD) and burn down four people’s houses.
Fortunately, all this cruel and very barbaric behavior did not last long because of the quick and precise actions of the security forces of the Nanggala Kopassus Task Force to reclaim the area from the hands of the OPM.
No half-hearted, in fact, because all the personnel from the joint security forces were very strong, the process of combat operations and evacuation in Homeyo District took place very quickly, namely in just 20 minutes.
It only took a very short time, the Nanggala Kopassus Task Force was able to successfully retake and occupy the Homeyo District from the hands of the nation’s enemies. Apart from that, because the nation’s special forces are highly trained, even though there was an exchange of gunfire with the OPM, it turned out that there were no casualties from the officers, but instead there were casualties from the terrorist gang.
It is clear that all efforts to completely eradicate and take very firm action against gangs that disrupt the nation’s stability are very important to continue to be implemented.
This is because if Bumi Cenderawasih continues to be in a stable condition and conduciveness is maintained, it is not impossible that it will further facilitate the government’s efforts to accelerate welfare development for all members of the Indigenous Papuan (OAP) community themselves.
Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Bambang Soesatyo reminded how important national vigilance is regarding how security dynamics occur in the area nicknamed the Golden Island.
This is not without reason, because the dynamics in Papua clearly have a big influence on the condition of the Indonesian nation, because this region is an integral part of the country and cannot be separated any more.
Moreover, Earth of Cenderawasih has very abundant natural resources (SDA), so that good maintenance is very important for the welfare of the people there as well as domestic economic interests.
All parties can implement several of these things in order to continue to care for the sustainability of Papua, namely by maintaining the national spirit as a process of self-awareness, all of which is realized in the form of a strong commitment as a unified nation living sovereignly within the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia ( NKRI) from Sabang to Merauke.
In other words, expelling the existence of anyone who tries to continue to disrupt the stability of the country, especially those who are openly enemies of the nation like the OPM, is something that deserves support. So it is not surprising why the security forces carried out combat operations, which proved successful in reclaiming the Homeyo District and saving all the civilians there.
