BKP Spokesperson: The Youth Pledge is the President’s Spirit to Create a Healthy and High-Achieving Generation

Jakarta – The spirit of the 97th Youth Pledge was greeted with renewed energy by Indonesia’s young generation. In a dialogue on Metro TV’s Prime Time News on Tuesday (October 28, 2025), Billy Mambrasar and Hariqo Wibawa Satria emphasized that the Youth Pledge momentum is not merely a historical commemoration, but a call to action to realize the ideals of a Golden Indonesia 2045.

Hariqo Wibawa Satria, Chief Expert of the Presidential Communications Agency (BKP), stated that under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, various human development programs have been implemented massively and concretely.

“When Mr. Prabowo became president, he immediately launched a free health checkup program for all Indonesians without exception. This is the largest program in Indonesia, and the number of beneficiaries has reached 45 million people and continues to grow daily,” said Hariqo.

He also highlighted the success of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG), which has now reached millions of children across the country.

“It now has 37 million beneficiaries, creating new jobs, 12,000 SPPG kitchens, and millions of MSMEs. This is the first program in history and has never been done before. Even in Brazil, it took decades to implement a similar program,” he said.

In addition to health and nutrition, Hariqo emphasized that the government is also taking major steps in the education sector.

“Tens of thousands of schools have been renovated with a budget of Rp22 trillion, creating 400,000 new jobs. This is the largest school revitalization program in the reform era,” he explained.

According to him, the policy of equal distribution of educational technology continues to be promoted through the distribution of interactive flat panels to 200 thousand schools and free laptops for students, including children from underprivileged families.

“The President honors our brothers and sisters in deciles one and two. All for three reasons: Indonesian children must be healthy, live long, and achieve,” he said.

Hariqo also emphasized that the spirit of the Youth Pledge today is truly felt in the increasingly solid life of the nation.

“What we should appreciate about this Youth Pledge is that within a year, there has been no polarization like before. We have pledged to be one Indonesian nation. Hopefully, this will be a stepping stone for an even stronger 2026,” he said.

Meanwhile, Billy Mambrasar, a Papuan youth figure, appreciated the synergy of government policies that opened up greater opportunities for the role of the younger generation in various sectors.

“The involvement of young people in running the kitchen is significant, enabling them to feed students and engage millennial farmers. This President’s program isn’t just a one-off project, but a unified effort,” he said.

Billy emphasized that the human development currently being carried out by the government is a long-term, cross-generational effort.

“The impact cannot be measured in the short term, because human development takes 10–20 years for Indonesia to reap the results,” he said.

He also reminded young Indonesians not to just wait, but to actively take advantage of every opportunity opened by the government.

“The government is providing opportunities, and young people must seize them. Don’t be passive; everyone has the same opportunities,” he stressed.

According to Billy, the meaning of the Youth Pledge is not only symbolic, but philosophical: it means that everyone has the same opportunity to contribute to the nation.

“We need young people who are willing to take risks and seize opportunities. The Youth Pledge is not just a ceremony, but a concrete movement to build Indonesia,” he concluded.

The 97th Youth Pledge is a reminder that the spirit of unity remains the nation’s primary foundation. Under the policy direction of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran, this spirit is now being translated into concrete actions to build a healthy, intelligent, and competitive young generation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.
