The Spirit of the Youth Pledge Strengthens Prabowo-Gibran’s Commitment to Building Superior Human Resources for a Golden Indonesia 2045

Jakarta — In a talk show broadcast on a national private television station, BKP Main Expert Hariqo Wibawa Satria and Papuan Youth Leader Billy Mambrasar discussed the meaning of the 97th Youth Pledge commemoration and the policy direction of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka in realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 through improving the quality of human resources. Both emphasized that the spirit of the Youth Pledge is not only a historical legacy, but also a moral foundation for building a superior and competitive nation in the global era.
Hariqo Wibawa Satria stated that the current government is committed to making human development a top priority. He emphasized the importance of equal access to education, healthcare, and welfare as key pillars of national development. “When Mr. Prabowo became President, he immediately launched a free health checkup program for all Indonesians without exception. This is the largest program in history, with 45 million beneficiaries,” Hariqo said.
He explained that this commitment is also evident in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG), which has reached more than 37 million beneficiaries across all regions. This program not only improves the nutrition of the nation’s children but also creates millions of new jobs for local communities, MSMEs, and millennial farmers. “The government continues to strive to ensure that Indonesian children grow up healthy, live long, and achieve. This is all done to prepare them to face future challenges towards a Golden Indonesia,” he added.
Furthermore, Hariqo revealed that school revitalization and improving educational facilities are crucial components of the strategy to improve human resource quality. A budget of Rp22 trillion has been allocated to renovate tens of thousands of schools and create 400,000 new jobs in the education sector. The government has also distributed interactive flat panels to 70,000 schools and provided free laptops to students to support digital learning. “The spirit of the Youth Pledge teaches us to unite and remind one another. Therefore, the President emphasized the importance of clean and corruption-free governance for the future of the younger generation,” Hariqo concluded.
Meanwhile, Billy Mambrasar assessed that the spirit of this year’s Youth Pledge provides momentum for the younger generation to take an active role in development. He highlighted the involvement of Papuan youth in the MBG program and various social initiatives that create jobs and strengthen the local economy. “The involvement of young men and women in the MBG kitchen is very significant because it can provide food for students and empower millennial farmers in the region,” Billy said.
Billy emphasized that the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s policies are comprehensive, linking the education, health, and economic sectors into a single human development ecosystem. He believes the tangible results of these policies will be felt in the long term. “Human development cannot be measured in a year or two, but the results will be visible over the next decade. Everything must move in both directions—the government must create opportunities, and young people must have the courage to seize them,” he concluded.
