Bali – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) chaired the Gala Dinner in the series of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) Summit in Bali. This event was attended by thousands of guests from all over the world, including dozens of heads of state, international organizations and hundreds of VIP delegates.
Jokowi welcomed and thanked the delegates who came and hoped that this agenda could bring a shared enthusiasm for improving the environment and creating collaboration to ensure access to clean water and sanitation for all.
“Your excellence, good evening and welcome to Bali Indonesia. “Thank you for participating at the 10th World Water Forum and I hope the spirit of togetherness this evening can lead us to great collaboration, to ensure access for clean water and sanitation for everyone,” said President Jokowi, in Bali, Sunday (19/05 ).
President Jokowi also hopes that the guests will enjoy the dinner and the typical Indonesian performances presented.
“Please enjoy your dinner and the performance from Indonesia, thank you,” he said.
This Gala Dinner event is an opportunity for participants to establish relationships and build networks before entering a series of official events. This event creates an intimate atmosphere and facilitates informal dialogue between world leaders, making this event an initial momentum that raises the spirit of collaboration to maintain global water sustainability, before the official summit begins Monday (20/5) tomorrow.
With a busy agenda involving more than thousands of participants from all over the world, the 10th WWF Summit is expected to produce concrete steps in maintaining the sustainability of global water resources.
For information, several heads of state who have arrived in Bali include Tajikistan Prime Minister (PM) Qohir Rasulzoda, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Fiji President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, and Papua New Guinea Deputy PM John Rosso, as well as former Hungarian President Janos Ader.
