Chelsea Islan Invites Community to Make ISF 2024 a Success
The Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024, which will be held from 5-6 September 2024 in Jakarta, is considered a crucial momentum for Indonesia to strengthen its position in global leadership, especially in terms of decarbonization and energy transition initiatives.
This forum is an event for Indonesia to demonstrate its active role in encouraging fundamental international collaboration in facing global environmental challenges, so it needs full support from the community.
Actress and ISF 2024 ambassador, Chelsea Islan, spoke about the importance of public awareness of the energy transition.
“As one of the ISF ambassadors and also as an advocate, I want to increase awareness among the Indonesian and global communities regarding the urgency of the ISF 2024 agenda. I hope to encourage sustainable efforts as well as decarbonization and energy transition in Indonesia and the world,” said Chelsea.
Chelsea also invited the public, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in ISF 2024 and take part in promoting this activity. According to her, public participation and media support are very important to make the ISF agenda a success and ensure that Indonesia can continue to play an active role in creating a sustainable future at the global level.
Previously, Deputy Coordinator of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves), Rachmat Kaimuddin, emphasized that ISF 2024 opens up great opportunities for Indonesia to lead various important initiatives in the international arena.
“The success of the Indonesia Sustainability Forum last year shows how concrete Indonesia’s opportunities are in leading and promoting fundamental global initiatives and collaborations to achieve fair and equal opportunities for countries to implement decarbonization,” said Rachmat Kaimuddin.
ISF 2024 is a continuation of the success of last year’s inaugural forum, which attracted more than 2,000 participants from 40 countries, including the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. The forum also managed to present a number of world-class speakers, such as IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and leaders of multinational companies from Wuling, Google, to Amazon. The presence of these figures emphasizes ISF’s position as an important platform in promoting global solutions to sustainability issues.
