Communication Expert: Jokowi’s Mandarin Language Video Uses AI Technology, Very Misleading..!!
JAKARTA – On social media such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, video clips are circulating showing President Jokowi speaking fluent Mandarin during his speech. Search results from open sources, it turns out that the video was made with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Political Communication Expert from Pelita Harapan University (UPH), Emrus Sihombing, said that the video of President Jokowi speaking very fluent Mandarin during a speech was the result of manipulation by artificial intelligence. Therefore, the Ministry of Communication and Information must immediately take down the video.
“The Ministry of Communication and Information must immediately take down the video because the video is not genuine and uses AI technology and this is very dangerous,” said Emrus in Jakarta, Thursday (26/10).
Emrus also questioned the authenticity of President Jokowi’s video circulating on social media, because he was not sure of the originality of the video circulating on social media. The Ministry of Communication and Information should explain to the public the video of President Jokowi’s speech which appears to be in Mandarin.
“I doubt the authenticity of the video circulating on social media, because it is just a fabrication,” added Emrus.
The video of the President being fluent in Mandarin is the result of editing at the Gala Dinner in the United States in 2015. And the video of President Jokowi being fluent in Mandarin is a fake video.
On the other hand, the very fluent Mandarin speech was actually removed from President Jokowi’s strong Javanese accent, which has been very attached to him every time President Jokowi speaks or makes a speech. [*]
