DANA and Young Filmmakers Collaborate to Prevent Young Generation from Getting Trapped in Online Gambling

Jakarta – The increasing prevalence of online gambling practices that increasingly target the younger generation has encouraged various parties to take strategic steps to increase public awareness. One of the latest initiatives comes from a collaboration between the digital wallet platform DANA and young filmmakers in Indonesia through the launch of the educational comedy film Agen+62.
The film, directed by Dinna Jasanti, is presented as a creative campaign to combat the dangers of online gambling, which has now become a serious social and economic problem. Data from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) noted that in the first quarter of 2025, the number of online gamblers in Indonesia had reached 11 million people.
Agent+62 producer, Orchida Ramadhania, explained that this film is a collaboration that aims to voice the dangers of online gambling through a light and entertaining approach.
“We believe that the film medium is very effective in reaching young people, especially with an action comedy approach that suits their tastes,” said Orchida.
He added that the fraudulent methods used continue to develop and infiltrate various digital platforms that are close to the daily lives of the younger generation.
“Online gambling is not just about games, but has entered into a dangerous form of digital fraud,” he added.
In line with that, the main actor and political figure Rieke Diah Pitaloka emphasized the importance of an artistic approach in conveying social messages. According to her, film is an effective bridge between the world of information and the collective consciousness of society.
“Art is the most humanistic tool in conveying a message. So, when DANA is involved, it shows that tackling online gambling must be a joint movement,” said Rieke.
From the technology industry side, DANA Indonesia also strengthens its commitment to eradicating online gambling through various efforts. DANA Indonesia’s Communication Director, Olavina Harahap, said that his party has closed thousands of suspicious accounts that are suspected of being related to online gambling activities.
“Through this film, we want the public to be aware that online gambling is a form of fraud that threatens financial well-being. We also actively report suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities and educate the public,” Olavina explained.
This collaboration has been appreciated as a form of real synergy between the creative industry sector, technology, and social prevention efforts that support the government’s agenda in creating a clean and safe digital space. With a fresh and inclusive approach, Agen+62 is expected to be a catalyst for changing digital behavior among young people. The message conveyed not only touches on legal and financial aspects, but also builds awareness that the younger generation has an important role in maintaining the integrity of cyberspace.
The public is expected to continue to be aware of the dangers of online gambling which are increasingly developing with various modes. Education and digital literacy are the main keys to protecting yourself and your family from the detrimental traps of cyberspace. With cooperation with all parties as agents of change, online gambling can be anticipated for the sake of a healthier, safer, and more ethical digital future for Indonesia.
