Deputy Governor of NTT: The ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo is a Golden Opportunity to Prosper the Community

East Nusa Tenggara – Deputy Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province (Deputy Governor of NTT), Drs. Josef Nae Soi said that holding this year’s ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, was a golden opportunity for the regional government to be able to improve the welfare of its people.

“It is important that we in NTT must be able to seize this opportunity (the ASEAN Summit). One of them will be the opening of free trade between ASEAN and Australia and New Zealand, including Pacific countries, which number around 20 or 30 countries,” said Deputy Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province (Deputy Governor of NTT), Drs. Josef Nae Soi some time ago in Kupang NTT.

There are three important issues that will be discussed at the 2023 ASEAN Summit or Summit. The 2023 ASEAN Summit will be held in Labuan Bajo in May by discussing three important issues and 16 other important issues that will be discussed by ASEAN heads of state. Three important issues at the 2023 ASEAN Summit are Recovery and Rebuilding, Digital Economy and Sustainable.

Then, one of the sustainable topics that will be discussed is the security of new and renewable energy (ETB). The issue of energy sustainability is also that NTT has potential such as wind and solar sources.

NTT must not waste this opportunity to be able to explore sustainable energy potentials ranging from wind energy to solar energy, he said.
