Embracing the Spirit of the Youth Pledge, Prabowo-Gibran Prepare a Resilient Generation Through Asta Cita

Jakarta, suaradewata.com — As the 97th Youth Pledge Day commemoration falls on October 28, 2025, the spirit of developing a superior young generation in Indonesia is once again a major focus of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Through two flagship programs within Asta Cita—Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) and People’s Schools—the government demonstrates its commitment to preparing a healthy, intelligent, and character-driven future generation.
The Chairman of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, assessed the MBG program as a form of government support for the common people. “This is not just a populist policy, but a long-term investment to prepare a healthy and strong young generation of Indonesians,” he emphasized. He added that improving national nutrition will have a direct impact on increasing the nation’s productivity and competitiveness in the future.
In addition to addressing nutritional aspects, the Prabowo-Gibran administration is also strengthening the foundations of education through the People’s School program. This program, initiated as part of the Asta Cita program, focuses on improving the quality of human resources and equalizing access to education for all levels of society.
Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf explained that the People’s School is part of the Ministry’s efforts to expand access to equitable education. “Through the People’s School, we want to instill social character and a spirit of togetherness from an early age, so that the younger generation will not only be intellectually intelligent but also possess a strong sense of social empathy,” he explained.
This program targets children from underprivileged families to provide them with equal opportunities to receive a quality education. The Head of the Mataram Paramita Center, Arif Rohman, emphasized that the People’s School aims to achieve educational equality throughout Indonesia. “We want to ensure that no Indonesian child is left behind simply because of economic limitations. The People’s School is a path to equality for young people across the country,” he said.
The presence of the MBG and People’s School programs demonstrates the continuity of the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s vision to develop superior human resources, a top priority in the Asta Cita (Association of the Five Principles). This year’s Youth Pledge Day also serves as an important symbol of the collective spirit of nation-building through empowering the younger generation.
By ensuring balanced nutrition and equal access to education, the government strives to instill the values of nationalism, hard work, and social concern that are in line with the spirit of the 1928 Youth Pledge. The younger generation is expected to not only be the nation’s successors, but also the main actors in realizing an advanced, sovereign, and just Indonesia.
Through the concrete implementation of Asta Cita, the Prabowo-Gibran administration has proven that building the nation’s future begins with preparing today’s young generation—a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and has strong character to realize the great ideals of achieving Golden Indonesia 2045.
