Jakarta, suaradewata.com — The 97th Youth Pledge Day commemoration in 2025 carries the theme “Young Men and Women Moving, Indonesia Uniting.” This historic moment also serves as a reflection on the performance of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration in realizing the nation’s ideals, especially through various social programs and human resource development.

One of the Prabowo administration’s flagship programs that has received attention is the People’s School, an inclusive education initiative that provides access to learning for children from various social and economic backgrounds.

In a recent Plenary Cabinet Session held at the State Palace in Jakarta, President Prabowo called education the most important form of long-term investment for the nation’s future.

In addition to education, the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is also a key pillar of the government’s social policy. This program aims to ensure that all Indonesian children receive balanced nutrition for optimal growth and development.

“This program is designed not only to address nutritional issues, but also as a long-term investment in the quality of human resources and the future of the nation,” said President Prabowo.

Similarly, the Chairman of Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, said the MBG program is a real form of the state’s support for the common people.

“This is a long-term investment to prepare a healthy and strong young generation of Indonesians towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he added.

Equally important, the Prabowo administration is also focusing on food self-sufficiency through the Food Self-Sufficiency program. Through support for local farmers and modern agricultural technology, Indonesia is expected to be able to meet its food needs independently.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka believes that success in achieving self-sufficiency depends not only on production but also on innovation and the role of the younger generation.

“Agricultural transformation must involve digitalization and the creativity of young people. We want agriculture to be an attractive, modern, and competitive sector,” said the Vice President.

On the other hand, to address the challenges of the world of work, the government launched the National Internship Program which provides opportunities for young people to gain direct work experience in various industrial sectors.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli said the government is accelerating the implementation of the National Internship Program as part of a broader strategy to improve the quality of Indonesia’s young workforce.

According to him, this program is one of the real efforts of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka in preparing the younger generation to face the world of work with more mature competencies.

With the synergy of these programs, the 97th Youth Pledge Day is not only a historical commemoration, but also a momentum to strengthen the nation’s determination towards a more advanced, independent, and sovereign Indonesia.

The Prabowo administration is optimistic that through equitable education, food, and job opportunities, the aspirations of the youth of October 28, 1928, will be realized. (*)
